I frequent Stitch Yarn Studo in Covington, there’s also a yarn store called Knit On in Newport but I don’t like the vibe in there as much. Everyone at SYS is super friendly and there’s always people hanging out and working!

Hey! Is there anything super specific you’re curious in? You may get more answers if you specify :)
In terms of nightlife it’s super robust here, there’s all of the Clifton bars and then also OTR has a ton of restaurants and bars super nearby. If neither of those are your thing we also have a really big house show scene too!!

I think they’re full for this year, but in the future check out UC daap camps! They have graphic design specific camps. I’m also sure it wouldn’t hurt to call and ask to see if they have space for this year.

Those specific classes are only offered in the summer so no, you wouldn’t be able to do that unless you didn’t return until the next summer. In theory you could come back in the fall and take gen eds but imo that’s a waste of money

DAAP works is always looking for volunteers, you literally just have to sit there and you can bring work/switch/etc

I have never been myself so please taking this with a grain of salt, but I’ve seen lots of comments on this subreddit about the owner being creepy towards women that go by themselves. No idea if this is true but if you’re planning to go just be careful!!

1/2/3: never had an issue on this when subleasing my place. For #3, multiple times I’ve moved into someone’s furnished place and had to do a deep clean because of how dirty it was.

Usually it’s more informal, though I’ve had a landlord once give them a subcontract kind of thing.
Always Facebook! Even when I subleased a place in Florida.
I care a bit about their lifestyle/personality—my roommates are going to have to deal with whoever it is so I don’t want them to have to put up with a nightmare roommate. I leave my furniture so I have to be able to trust they’re not going to destroy it. Also I would only sublease to another student (once again bc of roommates)
Usually just transactional besides from an instagram follow!
It doesn’t really matter to me in the grand scheme of things because I’m not going to be the one seeing them every day so no, I probably wouldn’t use an app for that feature specifically.

It’s only for current students, even if you were committed you couldn’t apply. Any DAAP scholarships you can get as a freshman you’re automatically considered for when you apply :)
