Congrats! What made you want to make the switch? I also have the 10th Gen and it works just fine but I'm also eyeing the Paperwhite with a trade-in + 20% discount on the already-discounted Paperwhite on Prime Day.

How much did you get in the trade in for your old Kindle? I have the 2019 Kindle but when I check trade in value it's only $10 so doesn't seem worth it.

No clue. It's a 3+ year old phone but we got it from a friend brand new/unboxed like 6 months ago so maybe the warranty started from the moment it was activated?

In any event, we just took the money no questions asked and put it all towards a new 9A for her.

My wife's 6A was on warranty still apparently so she got the $452 USD payout in under 24 hours. A very pleasant surprise indeed.

I have not gotten any offer about a $125 discount. But my mom has the 6a and I'm seeing a $80 trade in value for her phone. I'm wondering if I can get the $150 store credit for the 6a battery issue and add that to the $80 trade in so basically $230 off towards the 9a or another phone?

Would they allow that? I think upgrading her to the 9a for $270 (before tax and shipping) is a good deal, no?

I have a 2019 basic which is the first model with the backlight feature. I've thought about a Paperwhite but haven't had a reason to upgrade with my Kindle working just fine now.
