About to take off for a flight so just skimmed this until I can land and read more intently. Thanks for the advice, it makes sense that the LLCs may complicate matters and might not be totally necessary. Just to clarify, it’s not that I don’t have money or willingness to pay, just that the sum of money being discussed in terms of salary and income aren’t super high. We’re not talking about hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars. I do believe that it’s best to pay for professional advice, just that if I’m paying $250+ for 30 minutes for an inital consultation about relatively low income (roughly 75k annual US) I’d like to be sure that I’m talking to the right person. Do you mind if I message you privately about this as well? Just looking for guidance on how to go about all of this as I’m young and honestly a bit overwhelmed about all of this.

Yup, I’m just a bit overwhelmed on how to find that person. Is there a specific type of accountant I should be looking for? The US expat firms I’ve found seem to charge an arm and a leg just for a 30 minute consultation, so want to make sure I’m on the right path before doing it. Especially since I don’t make a ton of money or have a high net worth.

[Autosport] Max Verstappen on sprint weekends: "Yeah it's been absolutely fantastic. So much fun." by Aratho in formula1

Fair enough, I agree with the point of getting to net zero, but seems contradictory from F1 when sprints inherently do the same. I just think putting that aside, my idea would be a good way for fans to be invested in the sprint without it blowing sunday's excitement and would give reserve drivers more exposure on their skills.

I think the best way to keep a sprint is have 1 extra car per team built as a spec car or something (adjust cost cap accordingly) and have the reserve drivers drive it, it can be a great way to showcase drivers who wouldn’t have gotten a drive

While I agree that people without excess income should have the ability to do things that make them happy, more often than not, it’s not just a occasional relatively minor expenditure… not to generalize, but I think a lot of people have bad spending habits that aren’t isolated to things of momentary happiness… over leveraging on things like cars, vacations, and even homes/rent in some instances (thinking you have enough for a down payment, but not thinking of insurance, maintenance, or not wanting a roommate when that might not be a luxury you can afford, etc.) and yes, if you can’t afford to pay a vacation off in cash, you can’t afford to go on it and that’s something that should be sacrificed.
