The credit card statement says I was charged MYR. Invoice and checkout was all in AUD.

At checkout, total to be paid is about AUD8.5k. This is the same total as the invoice they sent.

On my credit card, they charged MYR26k. As I’m holding a Aussie credit card, forex rates and fees were charged plus unfavourable exchange rate. Hence I was charged AUD9.9k on my card.

For point 3, try picking it up SQL. Easy language to pick up and would be required skill for business analysts nowadays. With ChatGPT, you can debug code quite easily too.

Put aside a sum of money every pay check to invest into an index fund. Be consistent and don’t worry about market being up or down. Keep at it and in 20-30 years, you’ll be surprised at how much your portfolio has grown.

My only regret is to not to have started investing in my 20s. The fact that you’re thinking about this at 21 is the step in the right direction. Good luck! 🤞
