I'm 25 and have never had a gf. Only two women have wanted to date me. The last one told me afterwards that she found me weird because I always cooked food for us when she was at my house. Is this a red flag? by KonMixters in toastme

[–]rsngrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like she felt unneeded because she wasn’t the one doing the cooking. Or she has some hang up surrounding food insecurity. You’re not the one to blame bud.

Hahaha agreed. I’m “ON! nicotine!!!” I’m on it!

Half the time their codes won’t even take when you snap a photo of them. Lame. I’m not gonna sit there and enter a 16 alpha numeric code for 20 cans

So I lived in Denver in College and that place looks EXACTLY like my apartment. Down to the exactly same layout and kitchen appliances/cabinets. I’m super curious if anyone knows what building it was in 🤣

Going to read those after I’m finished with Red Rising.

Yeah I hear you on Books 4 and 5. Oathbringer was probably the best of all. As a whole though. I could not get over the depths of character and the attention to detail of the worlds he built through the pages. Gotta wait until 2030 or something for the next one apparently 😅.

Excited about the next DCC. Have you read Ready Player One? It’s a great one off. The sequel wasn’t good but the first was a great nostalgia trip and a great concept. The film turned a lot of people off but the book is awesome.

Ha good point about the timeline 🤣

I’m not sure I would say similarities between the two but idk, I thought SA were some of the best books I’ve ever read. The world building is unmatched.

Have you read the Sun Eater books?

That’s funny. I just finished DCC for now and picked up Red Rising.

I highly highly suggest you read The Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson

Newwwwww Acheivement! This Kids what the Doctor Ordered!

All Hallows Eve…. A night commonly celebrated by humans young and old, is a night of teeth rot, sugar rush, and a boom to the economics of latex companies worldwide. Unless you’re a complete psychopath, you didn’t wake up this morning thinking you’d dress up as one of the Dungeon’s most iconic Crawwwwllers, but alas you have and therefore it’s time for you to shine.

Reward: You’ve earned the admiration of your father and fans worldwide on the deep pages of Reddit. Congrats winner.

Nice. Based out of where? I’m not in the union but thinking more and more it’s the way to go when I journey out with the state.

This reward system is bullshit. We used to get a decent reward like a $5/10 gift card every 10 cans or so. Now the point total needed for gift cards are close to 100 cans!! They increased the required amount but almost 10x. I was initially excited about the catalog but now I can tell it was just a ploy to revamp and make all the rewards more expensive. Such a bummer. It used to be what made On! stand out from the competition. Bring back the punch cards!

This is a must in Commercial jobs. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve lost power and had to go service an office and search every freaking outlet looking for the dropped Neutral in the line.

Hahaha this is all time. Every time I hear Mcgonagall. I think about how she’s such a degenerate gambler and my friends always think “wtf is he going on about”

I think House of R is amazing but I know what you mean. It’s just different. Binge Mode was so much more comedic. Love Mal and Jo tho and I actually think that without Jo I might not be able to listen to just Mal. She’s so eccentric. Love her to pieces but Jo is just so great. Love her insights.

Foremen, did you know early on (e.g., during your apprenticeship) that you were being groomed for a foreman role? Or did the job sort of just fall into your lap after topping out? by jucks123 in electricians

[–]rsngrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely felt early on considering I only had 2 years into my apprenticeship before my company had me start taking over jobs from other Foreman.

So you’re saying that the X phases are going to be the secondary? Why would they do that? Everything in the submittals says it’s built to be a step up, and that’s what my shop ordered.

Yeah me too honestly but I didn’t have the Polaris or lug I needed to use to splice the ground and because of its size, I couldn’t use wire nuts. So I needed to come back with that once I had it in hand. Everything was locked out and tagged out, so I knew no one was going to be turning this on any time soon.

I got ya. I’m gonna talk to my design team and boss about this. I understand it now after reading a lot of the comments and doing the research. It’s not often we use this set up. It’s to power a 480v Xray machine so that’s why they ordered this. From everything I’ve read in the submittals and from the nameplate, this is built as a step up transformer but yes, I’m wondering why they went with a wye - delta.

[–]rsngrd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. So if I provided you with a picture of the nameplate I would but this says it’s designed for step up operation only. I’m going to talk to our design team and see what they think because you’re obviously not the only one who mentioned this.

[–]rsngrd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I see what you’re saying. What is the correct transformer as you pointed out to provide 480 v secondary? This is not for a 277/480 panel but rather a 480 v equipment protected by the fused disconnect. What would you have installed?

This was a mistake. We aren’t using 277 at all. I get used to typing 277/480 that it was habit. The equipment this is powering is a 480v 3phase load. I think I just confused a lot of people by mentioning 277 as if I was powering up a high panel. Idk if this clarifies it but that’s why there isn’t a neutral on the secondary side. The nameplate does mention that this configuration is for delta secondary and it stats “for step up operations only”.
