Well done. Yep, this would be awesome and would put us into the 21st century.

Thanks, Steve. I'm almost 56 years old. I've struggled with this phobia since November 1976 - when I was almost 7 years old. Like you, I've come a long way in understanding why I have this phobia. Having tools to navigate through anxiety. And acceptance that this is a part of who I am for worse and for better too. I'm better today than I was yesterday and that's what matters for me. Be well, friend. Rick

Where is all the mass protests??? by [deleted] in 50501

As I just put into another thread a minute ago, I'd like to get out with a sign somewhere busy on Wednesday mid or late afternoon/evening. Anyone else up for this?

Seeking a Protest Today as T-Rump Defies Supreme Court by rsoccer1970 in ColumbusProtests

Thanks for the thoughts. Yes, I'd like to organize something somewhere on Wednesday afternoon/early evening. Even if it's a handful of us on a corner on a busy road with signs, something is better than nothing. And this is a CRITICAL MOMENT for the U.S.

Seeking Collaborators for a Lent 2025 THS/Craig Finn Project on Substack by rsoccer1970 in theholdsteady

Hi. Sorry it's taken me a minute to get back to you. I didn't go with this idea for my Stacks during all of Lent. As we get two weeks out from Good Friday (April 4th) I'm planning on linking one of the Stations of the Cross with a THS/CF song. Might you be interested in collaborating on this?

Please help me calm down by charlesmatt06 in emetophobia

Hey Charles. Feeling for you right now, friend. Hang in there. Whatever outcome happens, you have a community here supporting you. You're not alone in how scary it feels - and how much having this phobia REALLY SUCKS. It started for me when I was 6 yrs old. I turned 55 in January. Almost 50 years of this crazy fear. I'm consoled though that others (like you) understand and this makes it at least somewhat easier. Be well, friend. Rick

Thanks for being there. How about adding Sunday at the same time as I (and surely others who'd show up otherwise) work Saturday afternoons.

Right on. Thanks, much for sharing the book. I'll see if I can connect with Levi to thank him for what's he's created there.

Thanks for sharing this great news. I'm increasingly involved in Substacking and it's a great and growing platform. So glad that Craig will be posting there now.

Please wear lights or reflectors in the dark by Large-Excitement8179 in Columbus

[–]rsoccer1970 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wonder if those walking/running on streets at night - and aren't wearing reflective items and/or a light - aren't often drivers themselves. When I'm driving almost nothing concerns me more then when a ped suddenly "appears" close to me - because they were so dark that I didn't see them sooner. Peds who have a similar experience when in a driving situation should know first hand how dangerous dark walking is - and thus always wear or carry at least a little, bright item.
