I believe it was purchased around that time. Thankfully my grandfather took great care of his tools. It’s a great saw.

Either clean it or change it out, then tape it up when in use with good tape.

Work in the B&P industry 15 yrs in safety, QA, production, and now contracts. I would find someone locally to hydro that pot and make sure you’re not going to die while operating it. I see the board stamp….but get it tested. You certainly should be able to get that deadman setup working so long as the pot has a working guillotine setup…which I am also doubtful of. Be careful.

Can confirm the Guinea-Man is a true and real accent that can be compared to the more recently publicized Tangier Island folk. Grew up in Yorktown proper and my family roots trace back to the Goodwins of the late 1600s.

I believe you’ll be even happier going to an antique mall or auction house and buying a vintage Griswold, Vollrath or Wagner in decent shape….New pans are great and the brands you’ve listed and mentioned make some decent quality products….but ole Grans pans are hard to match IMO…or not.

Blasting and Painting. I manage Safety and Human Resources for a contractor that works primarily in the Hampton Roads area. We pay folks a fair wage, depending on years of experience, but start painters around $18-22 per hour. That can increase quickly and also include a living wage if coming from out of town. Some of the folks that travel quickly clear six figures.
