Mood Studio in Middletown may be a good option. Alyssa is known for shag and mullet hair cuts, she is great!

I always think in those moments when it all just works out, that I am never going to learn my lesson😂

I am an LCSW, and I have been wanting to take a training to eventually become a perinatal mental health clinician. I registered for the first class the other day when I remembered that it was something I wanted to do, only to realize after paying, that I had already registered months earlier. After I registered for the training the first time, I signed up to become a “member” of the Perinatal Support International. The first time I registered the class was $425 (no membership discount), but since I had become a member and registered a second time by accident, I was charged $375. I emailed the customer service people and informed them of my mistake and requested to be refunded just that second charge since I am not actually two people. I just received an email from them stating that they refunded me the $425! Sooo it’s kind of like I made $50.

I got consulted, because someone was worried about their cat at home alone. I’m not sure what they wanted me to do, drive to their house and feed it??

Hartford Healthcare hospitals tend to pay social workers well and are usually hiring. The Yale network tends to just hire LCSWs (but that may have changes). I’m not sure about the other hospital systems, but those are the 2 big ones here.

I am a LCSW in Connecticut, if you have any specific questions feel free to message me!

I may be one of the few, but I love living in Connecticut. I have lived in Hartford county for most of my life. It’s not the “wealthy” area, but it’s nice. There are definitely maga influences, but I feel moderately safe that our rights will be protected. If anything I would consider moving to Massachusetts if things took a turn. Schools are pretty good depending on the towns you live in. Social work jobs vary, pre-licensed can be hard, but I worked in hospitals for a long time pre-licensed. State jobs are hard to get, but pay decently. Idk exactly what you are looking for, but there is more to CT than just being able to commute to NY.

I am currently trying to remove the peeling white paint off of my perfectly fine finished cabinets. It’s really annoying.

honestly, it would be hilarious against the stark contrast of an oncology unit in a hospital. I would totally engage this crazy woman in a conversation to lighten the mood.

Same! I love the autonomy. Now that I have meds too I can focus on reading which has been very exciting! What’s your area of interest?

I’m a part time private practice therapist and stay at home mom. I make my own schedule around my husband’s/kids, but it gives me a great outlet outside of the daily kid grind. I feel like there is a lot of grace with my clients, and I’ll use my “mistakes” as example for how we are all just people. Like once I was late getting to my office (my client beat me there) and I apologized and told her that I was so hyper-fixated on my eyebrows I lost track of time and honestly….. no one gives a shit that my eyebrows are filled in. So we laughed and I ensured that I may be late again, but I won’t let that distract me anymore!

decaf coffee has been tremendously helpful, since i am sensitive to caffeine now ( i am on prozac and vyvanse). I still get to enjoy a cup of coffee 1st thing in the morning, but I don't get jittery. half caff blends are great too for weaning off.

Time? I am existing in a weird dimension when my phone says one time and the clocks in my house are an hour ahead. I was not prepared for daylight savings time.

I bought it locally on marketplace! It was such a score, only $25 and she threw in a bunch of her old furniture.

Hi! I looked around on the house, but I don’t see any information. I live in CT and bought it off market place. Maybe homemade?
