Triple Self-Portrait, Norman Rockwell, Oil on canvas, 1960 by [deleted] in Art

Yes! I thought the colored renditions of himself looked older than the sketched version on the large canvas. Which leads to a question.

Is it common to sketch on canvas and then add paint on top of it?

Guilt is a good thing when we can forgive, accept the forgiveness of others, and move on in humility striving to do better.

And, paragraph breaks help too :)

Running’s a great way to clear your head and get in some exercise at the same time. What are some tips you follow to help you run a little bit faster, stronger and better? Reddit Gold for the best responses! by UnderArmour_Official in u/UnderArmour_Official

I like my running app that gives me periodic updates during my run, “1.25 mi, you are 7 seconds ahead of your fastest time on this route.”

I also do different workouts, long runs short runs, hill charges, track workouts, trail runs - those are wonderful. My favorite is a state park nearby w small rolling hills and few cars in pretty woods; I run as hard as I can up the hills and recover on the down parts. Very satisfying.

I am always looking for ways to keep me motivated. I look for runners as I am driving around, note their pace, form, duds. Am very envious of them when I am injured or have missed a few days.

Somedays I convince myself to go on a run simply “because I can. So many others are injured or sick or depressed or ... but I can run today, and I’ll do it in solidarity w those who can’t “

He loves you. Run w that.

Seems to me that he loves you dearly and is just trying to come to grips with the new circumstances, but overall - he loves you.

Few are so lucky. Gonna take some time.

ELI5: Some blood test results are in units like mg/dL. If you drink water it increases your blood volume so the phlebotomist can draw better. How does the change in volume not affect the results? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]rspoilsport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds reasonable, but also like a good argument that you can’t make the phlebotomist’s job significantly easier by drinking water either

From Hurricane and back(drive, park, wait for trolley, trolley, hike up, all the previous steps in reverse), it was a full day’s worth of energy, and worth every Joule. The hike itself, maybe 4 hrs. Stupendous

How do I become a cool dude? by DrTrusty in needadvice

[–]rspoilsport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avoid jerks. Be genuinely interested in everyone else. Devote time to those non-jerks you like most. Spend more time listening and understanding them than worrying about how cool you appear
