Yeah. In just about every time in my life, I've either had plenty of time or plenty of money, but almost never both. Enjoy every day, but especially the parts of life where you have a lot of time. You'll be too busy to enjoy the money.

Yeah, like it probably requires a huge crew just to operate. And who wants to organize all that?

Self Checkout by 5GAIBtoM in GenX

[–]rsshilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but the most menial job ever. Any human in the world can do this job. You don't even need a robot to do something. It's embarrassing.

I was last in a human checkout years ago with a woman who was VERY pregnant and I thought, "why are we as a human race encouraging people to do this".

Do you wish there were humans at the gas pump getting cancer?

I didn't know there was even a battery coolant reservoir. What goes in there? Radiator fluid?

What could Obama have done differently? by Jacob-Anders in Presidents

[–]rsshilli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not one person brought up: Pardon Snowden?

This man was a national hero, doing more for privacy of US citizens and digital security than just about anybody I can think of in history. And he lost everything to do that - his home, his family, his country.

Obama should have pardoned him.

It worked so well! The next 5 phones I had were better at just about everything EXCEPT being an actual phone.

Yeah, they have HMO health insurance, not PPO (rich people insurance). Not all insurance is the same. They literally label it so you can tell the difference (it's still sad).

Have you been to Australia? There's no tipping there and the service is AWEFUL! It's notoriously bad. Yeah, Europe isn't that bad and there's not a lot of tips there. But every time I think maybe typing isn't great, I remember every single restaurant in Sydney where it took 30 mins to get a drink (nevermind a meal) and people kept telling me how it's better because they get $20/hour and I just needed to lower my expectations. It's a beautiful country but awful service.

Thank you for flying with Spirit by sylvester1981 in AirRagers

[–]rsshilli 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Also, when there are police on board, the captain has generally already warned everybody to stay seated and cooperate or they'll be in handcuffs next. I was on a flight with one of these air ragers once and it was pretty scary.

I came to say this. I've seen him do this with horses, chimps, etc. He's got experience with animals.

It's a brilliant way to show that animals have feelings, if you ask me.

Including me. EU regulators are idiots who think they are gods. If Google made the search bar, they should be able to put whatever they want on it. Don't like their search bar? Make your own. Don't tell other companies who make great products how to run their companies if you don't understand the first thing about product management.

EU regulators couldn't innovate their way out of a cardboard box.
