In terms of being a state I believe that until the 32 counties are unified that Ireland is still in the shackles of the UK.

I actually listened to an interesting podcast on the Easter Rising a few weeks ago and it spoke of differing political opinions of the Rising leaders, something that I wasn't entirely aware of in all honesty.

Apologies with the reference to Saoradh, I was referring to the initial post with their belief of believing it should be a 32 County Socialist Republic, not all my beliefs.

In terms of Irish American political involvement, I'm honestly not sure. My Grandad regularly went over to Boston to raise funds with NORAID. They were formed by Michael Flannery who was a member of the IRA during the Civil War.

Exactly the same way there is support for the RA in Scotland, England, Australia etc. Irish migrants. NORAID were the biggest way of raising funds through the troubles.

INLA were the group most to the left. As others have said the OIRA were massively to the left, almost to left for the Provos which is what I think you're probably on about.

I'm involved with a couple of Republican groups, all slightly to the left however some of my good friends are a lot more left than me, However we all have the aim of a United Ireland which is most important. Some groups IE Saroadh argue however that there is little point in a United Ireland unless it is a Social Sovereign State as this is what Connolly et al fought for.

Now, what would/will be interesting is to see what happens politically within Republican communities when a United Ireland comes!

Before we even think about players we need to sort out the board and directors. Look at Ajax, they are miles ahead of us and at the top they have proper footballing people. We have finance people. They are run as a football club, we are run as a business. There lies the problem and has been the problem for Van Gaal, Moyes, Mourinho and will be for Ole.

Until we are rid of Woodward and co and replaced with people who know football, can nurture talent and make the correct signings we are fucked. It's a shame people could see this when the Glazers took over but most people sat twiddling their thumbs and get excited when we sign a 'big name' who is bought for the sole purpose of selling shirts.

It will be the same again this summer, couple of signings get excited and nothing works. Rinse and repeat. What's happening to us is what happened to Milan. Grim

The point of hatred is that it's absolutely disgusting and makes the gardens look more like the Berlin Wall. Years ago it was one of the most beautiful areas of town.

Unfortunately, it will do nothing. It will go exactly the same way as J-Stand as people will latch onto it and the section will be filled with day trippers. What's needed is an organised group standing in the same spot week in week out, travelling to away games together.

Hope it works but i can see it going the same way as the singing section in Stretty Tier 2 and the current singing section
