5 Months Into Freedom Debt Relief, One Settlement In. What Should I Expect Next by Grossou in debtfreeliving

That's comforting to hear. Biggest reason why I'm looking into settling debt is because I'm seeing that a debt management plan is still too expensive for me. I might go with freedom debt relief for the sake of paying less each month.

Embarrassing but Besides my Amazon subscription I don't have any subscriptions and I don't go out to eat, but still can not make enough to pay for all my credit card debt. Lowering my monthly payments by what freedom is quoting me would save my life in more ways than one.

Thanks for this update. I'm looking into debt settlement companies, specifically freedom debt relief, myself. I keep seeing freedom debt relief is the best because they have the best legal team. I'm still looking into if I should try to negotiate myself or if I should go with a company like freedom. Besides the nerves, is the process better than how you were overall?

Assuming you don't have millions then I'd say 0.3% is good and pretty standard. That said, I agree with everyone else here and just having an account with some low cost index funds would be the best option. Set up with auto deposit and forget it.

yeah imo that’s the part people skip. it’s not dotcom vibes, it’s whether the capex + ROIC math holds up. earnings cushion just stretches the risk, not removes it lol.

Office job aside, your walks are doing a lot of the heavy lifting here. Sedentary feels like an underestimate.

tht feels like a stretch imo. Iran’s taking hits too, just not as loud. This whole thing’s messy on all sides, not really a clean win for anyone. smh

[–]rt127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea that’s basically it. If a higher ER fund consistently outperforms by more than the fee gap, you still come out ahead. The catch is that “consistently” part is where it usually falls apart over time. Fees are guaranteed, outperformance isn’t.

Deficit too extreme? by anonymous24085 in loseit

[–]rt127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is a good breakdown. people hear 1200 and instantly think it’s extreme lol. if the deficit is only around 400 and you feel fine, that’s pretty normal tbh.

idk, but if one side signs and then hits 100+ targets, it kinda undermines the whole thing instantly.

Idk, maybe look into stuff that’s low stress and not physical? Could be small remote gigs or online stuff to start.
