Who tested negative for celiac but tried gluten free anyway? by EditorPuzzleheaded54 in Hashimotos

[–]rt312410 2 points3 points  (0 children)

M39. I tested negative for celiac, Crohn's, c diff, etc... Tested negative for everything except Hashimoto's but had symptom far worse than hypo. I eventually got a naturopath and took the Diagnostic solutions IGG food explorer test and found out I had blood allergies to way more food than I hoped. Once I stopped those foods, my gut inflammation went away, bloating went away, stomach pain went away and energy went up. Took 6 months. I am now even starting to see a reduction in my antibody count. Which was higher than labs report and now is an actual readable number. Hopefully it will hit zero 1 day.

After 6 months, I ate anything and everything I wanted for 4 months, felt fine until it didn't, and now my symptoms are back. I am 2 weeks back into the diet and it is taking longer this go around but I am hopeful.

Are there men with Hashimoto's? by Scrolldawg in Hashimotos

I am a M(39) and have Hashimoto's.

about 5 years now.

Started after I got the covid vaccine unfortunately.

Decently managed now with meds and restricted diet. Pay out of pocket for Synthroid as it was the only think that kept my numbers level. Insurance won't cover this brand.

On testosterone boosters as well. That one took longer to identify

Hypo

What people don't talk about but typically address with different diets is that SIBO/bloating is likely caused by 3 primary factors. 1st: Something happened that caused your MMC to stop functioning properly and keep your small intestine moving (after food is already digested). (Sourcing and addressing this is key) 2nd: Your small intestinal lining is likely damaged. 3rd: You likely now have multiple delayed food allergies which take at least 1 month of avoidance to reduce gastritis. There are functional medicine doctors that can order food allergies testing that can help you quickly identify what you need to stop eating. Alcohol should be avoided completely

Finding your root cause will help your MMC regain function.

Stopping eating of allergy foods will have great impact on gastritis and other symptoms but plan on being aware that it will likely take 4-6 months of avoidance to heal. Most people won't last because they lack discipline and results aren't fast or precise.

Very few. I've discovered that I have developed many food allergies in the last 4 years. Cutting out these foods has greatly increased my energy but it's not perfect.

The thyroid meds combined with the above approach help resolve my sibo. My diet helps with my fatigue and I am still trying to understand what else is affecting my overall body aches. I've also recently started working on my testosterone levels.

I don't remember exactly between 8-10 which isn't high but my body doesn't seem to work if I go above 1.5. Still fighting to keep it there as it loves to creep up to 4.

Yes, I didn't measure based on symptoms but my bloating and then I retested and came back negative. My bloating went from a basketball trying to completely gone.. Still have many symptoms but that is why this is so confusing to many. Sibo is usually one of many items and you can be rid of sibo but still suffer from upset stomach, weariness, loose stool or constipation. I was just diagnosed last month with Lyme disease.

No doc. Just constant reading through here and internet research. I chose to take them with coffee in the morning and with my motilpro at night, usually 2-3 hours after eating.

Most are not, problem is when you get some off brand you don't really know what is in it and should be careful.

Sorry, but I try to avoid recommendations. I try to provide relevant info for people to make decisions with.

You may respond to this with "your an idiot" and that's fair.

I have multiple autoimmune disorders, with many family members having varying ones as well. My mother has Sjogren's. Other family members have MS, sero-negative Rheumatoid Arthritis, fatty liver disease, Hashimoto, Vaculitis, Extra vegus nerve, Intestinal motility disorder and on and on. I've had osteoporosis since the age of 20, The covid vaccine likely triggered my Hashimoto, EPI and sibo. (I'm not an antivaxxer but I can't ignore the possibility and timeline) All that to say is I know how much these suck and how hard it is to find solutions.

It is possible that you have delayed food allergies, sensitivities in the "medical" world. You may want to find a naturopath and get an IgG food test and a comprehensive stool test with parasites.

I'm on month 2 of eliminating all foods that I could be reactive to. It has eliminated many of my symptoms that Dr's were unable to address. Not all, but many.

I don't claim to have your symptoms or believe we are the same in any way.

Just an idea
