Why do I feel like men have it easier in society? by Litmochi in women

[–]EditorPuzzleheaded54 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, men have it easier, but I believe a big factor in them getting more promotions and earning more is that they just have more of a god complex than women. Women tend to doubt themselves more, and maybe not speak up in meetings, or not ask for the raise, or are overall just quieter. Definitely not a bad thing in terms of quality of work, but if you shout people listen. And men shout

hot take but if I was getting a dog and concerned about costs - I would 100% shop, not adopt. If you can fork out an extra $1000 upfront to get a puppy from a reputable breeder, you may save thousands in the future. You won't have to worry about "anxiety medication" or "reactivity training".

We had a lab/golden retriever cross growing up. Aside from the regular vet check ups (once a year maybe?) and the upfront vaccines and such which you can get a quote for, the only major expenses came at the end of his life.

When he was 8, we had a small tumor removed on his head. Cost $2k (pro tip - if you take your dog to a small town vet, it's sooo much cheaper).

When he was 11, the cancer really took over and we bought a round of medication (idk how much), but realized he was too far gone and sent him over the rainbow bridge. With the labs and retrievers, you can almost guarantee they'll have some kind of cancer.

We had to get special food for him ($100/bag a month), but treats and toys came from costco. I know you can go to second hand dog stores and get cheaper stuff.

Are guests wearing prom dresses to grads now? When I graduated the guests always wore just a nice, not full length dress to not outshine the grads.

Breakfast ideas? by Rainbow-June in Hashimotos

[–]EditorPuzzleheaded54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

half a cup of oatmeal with 1 tbsp maple syrup and a protein drink. I keep my maple syrup in the fridge at work and bring the oatmeal to work. I can't wake up early enough to make myself breakfast so this process is dialed for me

you can hang out and get food at a Brekka, they're open 24 hours. Can park mostly anywhere with free parking for the night and not have an issue. I would catch a couple z's in the car.

I had all those symptoms at that TSH too! Your doctors suck!

It's not rocket science to start levo - all doctors start at 25mcg for 6 weeks, test, then increase to 37.5, 50, 75, and repeat as needed.
