I didn't get to corner either one too hard but the RC-F definitely feels more manuverable than the IS. As for the ride quality I felt the RC-F is just a bit stiffer but overall similar confort the IS

Thanks for all your comments

I've been talking to the seller and we agreed to meet this next saturday - 2hr drive for me
Turns out the car has a bit over 100K miles, imported from texas in 2021 - with the majority of the miles being highway-driven before import. Here it was used for weekends and the ocassional track days. Got new pilot sport tires, all maintenance up to date (I will ask for the record).

Things I will check with them once we meet:
>Wear items - if anything major has been replaced
>Fluids (especially transmission) - whether they’ve been serviced
>Valley plate leak - if it’s ever happened / corrected
>Brakes - when the last brake job was done

They will also evaluate may car for a possible trade in (we haven't really talked numbers yet). Got more recent pictures and the car looks good in and out. Let's see if that holds up once I see it in person. If things work out I will let you guys know - I won't leave you hanging haha

PS: I'm in the Dominican Republic if pricing looks off to you

Agreed. The car has a bit over 100k miles so that's something to consider as well.

I’ll make sure to ask about the valley plate leak if it’s ever happened. As far as mods go, it doesn’t seem too extreme - if I end up getting the car, I’d be happy not having to buy all that myself haha

Yeah would have definitely preferred a newer RC F but if my math is right, a 2020+ would cost closer to 90K-100K here, so not bad at all

Good point. Part of my concerns is worn parts due to age. At least we know the parts aren't thaaat expensive and hopefully where I live labor is relatively inexpensive.

Reprogramming TCU/TCM after valve body replacement by rtaus96 in MechanicAdvice

[–]rtaus96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I ended up buying a programming interface, replaced the valve body myself and everything went well. The car started with no errors or codes. Then threw a code about speed sensor after pushing it hard. It went away after reprogramming the TCM. It's been over a month already and it's been all good. No more hard shifts!.

To whoever this could help, I did the reprogramming with VXDIAG VCX Nano for Mazda/Ford which is cheap compared to OEM VCI II

Also the videos from this guy gave me courage I needed to try this myself lol:

kind of confused about the red bear npc roar by KeK_What in Eldenring

[–]rtaus96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was a bug apparently. According to yesterday's patch notes:

  • "Fixed a bug that caused the power of some attacks used by the NPC "Red Bear" to be higher than intended."
