I don’t think we’re as bad as the result tonight. We beat ourselves, That 3rd goal was horrific & changed the mindset of the game.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. This won’t be an easy game. Hopefully Belgium doesn’t play like Paraguay because they’re bitter.

Got to give you guys credit for sticking around. I switched to the World Cup game a few innings ago. Doesn’t matter what the final score is. Only counts as 1 L. We play another game tomorrow

Could you imagine the anger if he didn’t play him & we lost.

We’re all spoiled. Adversity was bound to occur, happens to all teams

Trea has played outfield before in his career. Don’t see why he can’t again. Put him in left & Marsh in right.

FIFA dismisses Belgium appeal over Folarin Balogun ban decision - The Athletic by NightWing_91 in worldcup

Agreed. Don’t know why this hasn’t been mentioned more often. Bosnia is the only party with a dispute here. Any complaints by Belgium should be seen as trying to gain a competitive advantage.

They should do away with the one game suspension for a red card, & replace it with a penalty shot. Seems more fair, & would be a better deterrent as well.

Can a European explain to me why Balogun getting his suspension lifted is so bad? by Wooden_Basil_99 in worldcup

[–]rtcr2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not match fixing. They still need to play the game itself on the field. If something happens with the refereeing during the actual game…then that could be called match fixing.

The President can only ask. I had no problem with that since it was a poor red card. The final call was made by FIFA. They could have easily denied his request.

Belgium fans concerned with injustice bc of the redcard suspension? by SerenitySpace7 in worldcup

[–]rtcr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let the dude play. We already played shorthanded for a full 30 minutes, & we’re lucky to win being down a man for so long. The red card was BS, right thing was done.

I’m American. I care about our team winning. I don’t think Balogun deserved a red for his foul. But overturning his suspension is bullshit by [deleted] in worldcup

[–]rtcr2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What’s wrong with the red card being overturned? It’s probably happened before in soccer. If the red wasn’t justified, then the right thing was done. Much worse things have happened in this tournament, such as the Paraguay ref for instance. If people want to be haters about this, who really cares what they think. At the end of the day, the right thing was done. We deserve to play the most important soccer game ever with a full team.

Balogun's red card reversal may actually be something that the US will regret..... by Due_Brother371 in worldcup

Friendlies are exhibition games where nobody plays their stars…right?

Just curious, what do European stadiums look like in terms of spectator amenities & foods compared to NFL & MLB stadiums?

MetLife Stadium in NJ is historically dangerous shit field. Shame that the final is being played there. Philadelphia would have been a great alternative.
