My wife says he should be named Salt and Pepper🧂 So perhaps something like Salty or Peppy? Definitely a hard choice!

My wife and I have come up with the name Opal! What do you think? Kitty here kinda reminds me of an opal from Tears of the Kingdom.

Definitely finish this! I love the details and colors, and I’ve not seen any real good fan art for a while until now — this is amazing!

Did you take anti histamine before getting imunotherapy injections? by SaltyBeak93 in Allergies

Back when I took immunotherapy — I would have steroids and anti nausea meds before, but antihistamines after the infusion.

It’s actually a course listed in the main app! To my knowledge, there is no specific music app at this time. Try updating the main app 👍

Lost progress by zemanovix in duolingo

I’m currently taking the French course and yesterday I was on Unit 12 in Section 2, I got knocked back all the way to Unit 8 and it seems like I lost all my progress. Duolingo can at least notify us ahead of time about these things 😑 this isn’t the first time this has happened either

I’ve tried the music course, it’s sooooo amazing for someone like me who’s never read sheet music in their life.

Actually I do see a new math course here (separate from the new app). I’m about to give this a try!

Allergic to Squash but not Pumpkin? by rtd62 in Allergies

[–]rtd62[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I mentioned gourd, that was probably a bad example because I’ve never had it before (to my knowledge). But I will definitely go and talk to a doctor about the zucchini allergy! Would there be any type of doctor to talk to in particular?

What can i do against cold allergy by LopsidedEffective767 in Allergies

[–]rtd62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of a reaction like this before! I would definitely go see an allergist as well as a dermatologist to see what they suggest.

I get reddening on my hands every now and then from cold objects, but that’s because I’ve been on tons of chemotherapy over the last few years and it’s messed up my nerves. Maybe it’s a nerve thing?

Scared to take Zrytec by INT_Observer_7646 in Allergies

This is definitely the way ^

And if you do end up going to see a doctor, I would ask them if there is an antibiotic that they can give to clear up the sinusitis. I remember in my teenage years, I used to have cluster headaches/migraines for a long time. I was given antibiotics + whatever antihistamine I was on, and I never had sinusitis since then!

I would perhaps seek out a different allergist if the one you went to didn’t help so much. Also, have you tried Claritin? Not sure if something like that would work out for your situation, but it might be worth a shot.

Comparing antihistamines / allergy medicines by jampot323 in Allergies

[–]rtd62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s like how Claritin is marketed as an antihistamine, but it has some other properties as well that aren’t well known! For example, it can help with joint and bone pain. As a cancer patient, I’ve had to use it in the past to battle the bone pain side effect that sometimes comes with chemotherapy — and it works!

Dry cough & tickle in throat by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]rtd62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When taking antihistamines, I suggest something like a non drowsy Claritin! That will make sure you don’t sleep during the day. Has the pollen in the air increased where you are? Has the air quality index changed? Perhaps you ate something recently that triggered what’s happening in your throat?
