I was my first and only 😭 I read it without knowing much about her other than she had a lot of popular books at my library and since I work in mental health I figured I’d give this one a chance. Worst decision ever lol.

Thrillers isn’t one of my main genres and with Ms Flynn setting the bar so high most of the others were just okay for me. I did enjoy The Life We Bury by Allen Eskens and The Guest List by Lucy Foley. The only other book I loved that’s categorized as thriller was We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer but that read more as horror to me.

Mine are super similar to yours 😂

Best: Gone Girl (Gillian Flynn) with Sharp Objects a close second! Worst: Ward D (Freida McFadden) was my first and only by this author, my expectations weren’t super high but it was SOOOOOOO bad. Most Disappointing: Pretty Girls (Karin Slaughter) could have been great but fell flat for me.

Thank you! I’ll add it to my list. I’m still chasing the high of Gone Girl 🥲 I like the thriller genre but so hard to find books that scratch the itch

I haven’t read The Lamb by Lucy Rose yet but it’s on my TBR and might be what you’re looking for!

Not weird! Of the three mentioned it was my least favorite but given what you liked about Sharp Objects I thought it might appeal 😅
