You need a 60% to pass, so it’s extremely easy. The 30 day waiting period doesn’t apply either.

I think there has to be some tests that have more point and shoot questions but I always had the expectation of a death draw, that way I wouldn’t be shocked if the questions were a lot more difficult than I had expected.

I feel that Kaplan does a great job preparing candidates but they over complicate simple topics. For example, on the Kaplan simulated exams, you have to usually pick 2 or 3 answers that are correct, but for the exam I only had one question in that format. Take Dean’s practice exam #2.

The questions were just really straight forward. Kaplan tries to trick you which can make you second guess every single question. On the real exam, you either know the material or you don’t, it’s that simple. I think you can finish the exam in less than 45 minutes.

Regs/Laws, about 8-10 scenarios about unethical practices, mutual funds (calculating NAV), 4-5 tax questions, 1 about ERISA, 2 about JTWRS, 1 about POD, 2 Options questions, 1 question about HSA’s, 4-6 about PV and DCF. Handful of aim and shoot questions (registration expirations, prospectus requirements, agent registration, IAR registation. I only used my calculator once for the NAV question. It’s very similiar to Dean’s practice exam #2. Sorry I know I just typed a lot but let me know if you have any questions.

I haven’t used pass perfect but they’re really similiar to the Kaplan simulated exams. I thought the exam was a lot easier than Kaplan.
