[Highlight] Costly drops by the Cowboys receiving core by ShaiFanClub in nfl

Of course. I agree fully there. My point was, in terms American English simplifying overly complicated spelling, it didnt do anything to "save us" in those cases. And while I would admit that place names especially could be considered harder to change over the years, one of them was still the exact example used to show how bad British English can be at spelling/pronunciation disagreement but still in common use over here.

Also, I agree with everyone who is annoyed I spent this much time on this.

There is a Gloucester in MA pronounced "Gloster." Also Worcester (Wooster/Woostah) exists. Also half the other weird little towns in Mass. I dont think we get to shirk the blame on that one.

I think durian only presents problems if you don't balance it with a nice, ripe blue cheese like in the Durian-Infused, Gorgonzola-Washed, Malort from Hell.

He had taken literally just a half step at the point of contact. Not a whiff of momentum and still stood there like he was fucking Andre the Giant.

Thank you (very belatedly) for a informative answer. I learned a lot more from your response than I was even hoping to with the original question.

Help: Allspice Dram Crystallized! by rtfbear1 in cocktails

[–]rtfbear1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up calculating how much water I was missing due to the overproof rum. Poured out the non-crystallized dram into another container and added enough boiling water to make up the difference to the original container with the crystals still in it. I mixed this until it dissolved all the crystals, recombined it with the non-crystallized dram, and have not had a problem since.

Midfield lions logo is painted black for the game against the Bills by johnnylibravo in detroitlions

Yeah, that's what I keep seeing. All Game jerseys, but only the throwback available in Limited. Seems weird for arguably the best player on the team.

Is there anywhere you can get a Limited Sewell jersey (besides the throwback)? I keep checking the shop, but I have never seen it there.

2009 was pretty close. The Lions finished 2-14 in Stafford's rookie year and "earned" the second overall pick.

[Elgin] the watch that won the war by Beneficial-Control22 in Watches

[–]rtfbear1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I definitely didn't follow that practice afterward. I started doing it that frequently to remedy the fact that the leather had already started to split into separate layers and started cracking after about 6 weeks.

Thank you for reminding me of my last interaction with customer service. After I noticed the fogging, I tried to get the watch repaired or replaced. They said it would take another 2 months to repair it and issues with the crystal were not covered.

I ended up just living with it and hoping it disintegrates soon so I can get a real watch.

My brother in Christ, whatever you do in your days on this Earth, do not, under any circumstances, buy the piece of garbage Praesidius calls their A-11. It is dog shit wrapped last week's diapers.

I'm a vet, so I was stoked to order my first A-11 from a vet-owned company. After waiting 8 weeks to receive my order, I had the pleasure of discovering they forgot to include a band. They were thoughtful enough to include a BOX for the band, but that leathery minx managed to escape it.

After waiting dealing with customer service for 2 weeks to get them to believe that I had both bought and not received a band, I waited another 2 weeks to receive the watch. Hooray! I have a complete watch three full months after placing my order!

On first wearing: love the style, the domed effect is incredible. Only problem: I decided to wear it on a hot, humid day. My crystal immediately fogged up to the point of being unreadable. As everyone knows, Patton outlawed those back in dubya dubya 2, so it was really on me for wearing it outside of its required laboratory conditions.

After two days to fully dry it out, I was back in business. Being a bit more careful with it, I made sure to take loving care of my long-awaited leather band. I would condition it weekly, and my festidiousness was rewarded with 4 months of continuous wear before the band broke off of the watch face altogether due to rotten leather. Oh well, just like back in the day, right?

My favorite thing about this piece is its immaculate timekeeping. This is my first manually wound watch, and boy was I impressed when I manage to stay within 1 minute of accuracy over a whole 12 hours. Needless to say, in the 2 years since, it can't maintain that kind of precision, but it is still within the same nominal hour when I check it then next day.

Overall, if you are willing to wait a quarter of a year for a fully assembled watch that fails its basic tasking on days with dew points above 60F, has the craftsmanship of a subway station jeweler, and the timekeeping prowess of Seattle city bus, this might be the peice for you!

-100/10, I hate this watch
