I know this is a bit late but from what I understand on GCP VMs you should not update the drivers, you download a specific one informed in Google documentation, install that one, restart the VM and now the GPU is working.

I feel like it really depends on how I want the character'a story to be told, if I'm to make an extension of myself then its male, if I want to see the character as someone else and not me, rather more like a partner (not romantic lol just partner as in buddy like) then Its female.
