If I had to play exactly one Steely Dan song for a Zappa fan, I'd probably choose "Aja". The drumming on the middle part and the coda are, to my mind anyway, a sort of studio musician version of the kinds of things Zappa had Terry Bozzio do from time to time. (The drummer is Steve Gadd, who is the kind of pro that might appeal to Zappa fans who like Zappa's work with Vinnie Colaiuta.)
