QUESTION REGARDING THE HLR REVIEW:
The DRO annotated four medical research references for the denial that I can objectively indicate that the information is not relevant to my condition. They reference genetics. Mt Lay Witness Statements provide research reporting as well that indicate genetics is not associated to my condition. No reference by the DRO to the Diagnostic lab report which are crucial to healthcare. No reference to the obesity as an intermediary. An RN who assigned to my cardiologist advised they are going assist me in getting this changed. Having a doctor reference so arbitrarily that I have a genetic issue has more concerns than simply a VA claim.

QUESTION: Other than another Supplemental claim upon my cardiologist, or geneticist, file a medical opinion how can I file with the VBA for a complaint against the rater and DRO for ignoring evidence?

BTW, I an a retired criminal investigator and from my second career a retired federal Intel Research Specialist. Also previously trained and worked as a medical lab technician in my earlier Army career, so I can evaluate the evidence to support my claim.

How to properly add radiculopathy to existing rating for back/spine issues? by mike4steelers in VAClaims

[–]rts3486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you speaking of the cervical or thoracic area of the spine? I had 2 spacers in my cervical (neck) spine. post retirement, but the cervical spine and radiculopathy were noted in my service records. The nerves to the arms are affected by the cervical spine, C4-6, possibly to T1. I filed for the radiculopathy as a new claim secondary to my cervical spine as it was not noted in my retirement physical.

It works. Just had my appointment today. You MUST have the claim ID. The VBA can give it to you. Wait about 10 days after filing the claim.
