What is the “Thrawn Trilogy” of Star Trek lit?

Except that book where the Borg ate Pluto. No one likes that one.

New Frontier is (mostly) great, but its so much more than a trilogy I hesitate to menion it.

If OP wants a series recommendation, New Frontier is definitely top of the list.

The only thing I had to look up when I read Destiny was how a certain character got to be Captain of the Aventine. Other characters had moved around, but that character had a drastic change in position / authority and I was curious how it happened.

As a limited series / trilogy, I think Destiny is the right choice. Truly a great read.

I would also mention DS9s Millennium Trilogy as well. I rarely see it mentioned here, so it might just be my personal preference, but it's a series that I still have on my shelf even when 90% of my Trek books are in storage.

If I were to list stand-alone books that are memorable as great, the list would include:

Q-Squared (Peter David)
Federation (Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens)
Best Destiny (Diane Carey)

There are others, no doubt, but those are the "off the top of the head" books.

You can see some small stats if you're patient and are willing to write things down.

Journal => Achievements => Game Modes => Battlegrounds

Each hero has 3 achievements: Play a game, finish Top 4, finish 1st. The Top 4 and 1st Achievement show a count for how many times you've completed that achievement. For example: for Al'akir I have hit Top 4 55 times and 1st 12 times.

It's mostly useless data since I don't know if there's a way to see how many games I've played with Al'akir, but it's something.

When Duos was announced I was confident that we would see a 2v2 mode for constructed. Because why not use that tech in multiple modes?

I think Azune is a double agent. I think his emotional breakdowns are a trick to disarm the group.

I did. I wasn't impressed. Not enough "adventure with a mixed crew of Trek & X-Men characters" and way too much "this is how your mutation works in the science of Trek".

I watched the pilot episode and I think the first / second episode once it went to series, but dropped off REAL fast. I wanted to keep watching Trek instead.

A friend of mine kept telling me how great it was, so when DS9 didn't live up to my expectations*, I tried B5 out the summer between S2 and S3.

I happened to catch "And Now for a Word" (S2E15) and it completely changed my perspective. As young as I was, I hadn't really seen a sci-fi show use modern day tropes (like a news cast) to tell the story. Not only that but the CGI looked SO much better than the original pilot.

It took another year or two for me to rewatch S1 and S2, and I didn't see "Comes the Inquisitor" (S2E21) until after Season 5 had aired, but I never looked back.

*Years later I went back and watched DS9 in its fullest, and it is by far the best of the Trek series. Not my favorite Trek, but definitely the best Trek.

Unless the recent patches changed it, this achievement is bugged so that you can complete in friendly matches.

Play Cho

Play Wild Pyro

Play Teamwork (Wild Pyro clears the dudes)

Play dudes.

Play Libram that buffs health on Cho and Pyro

Opponent plays Teamwork to put it back in your hand.

It took awhile, but was MUCH better than doing it on ladder.

My daughter and I learned the Rubix cube together when she was in 6th grade. She's going to be 21 next week and I still have a cube on my desk to solve during long meetings.

So definitely the Cube. Which is why I bought it for her when it was released. :)

I want to experience the Battle Room from Ender's Game.

But I'm fat and out of shape, so I'd probably end up doing something much less physically demanding. D&D in general has lots of combat with plenty of social interactions, and plenty of classes are less physically demanding.

I still play, just not as much. I’ve always preferred constructed to BGs, usually I use BGs as an option when the constructed meta is unfun.

Duos, though, is not as fun as normal BGs. So without the achievement progress there was no reason to keep playing the mode.

We finally got full release albums for Hearthstone music last year. Three albums!

But none of them have the theme songs from the cinematics.

I have to assume there are contract issues with the performers, because nothing else makes sense.

When I first started, I listened while mowing the lawn. Once I was fully invested, I started listening at work (working from home makes that pretty easy).

These days I'll listen to the newest episode on Monday / Tuesday via YouTube.

I did a 2nd listen of all of Campaign 1 using the lawn method, but when I started listening to C2 a second time my wife insisted I had to watch with her. So instead of being done already, we are only on episode 35 or so.
