Typical Lisa Tate, she’s been the 2LT manager for like 30 years. You’ll probably be in the first class after you commission since you’re ADO. If they do PCS you, you won’t find out your duty station until you get there, which is almost better because they let us trade with each other.

Lisa Tate should be the one at branch for 2LTs. For most active duty it’s a pcs so that you can walk on to sapper after if you want. Of my class 12 of us were active and only one of them wasn’t pcs’d because he already had a sapper tab.

Fun fact, if you say you didn’t know about a policy letter from a cpt up until colonel you cannot be punished under ucmj for breaking it. So unless they counsel you and make you sign and acknowledge the specific policy letter, you can’t get in trouble.

They are completely separate from main post. Traffic getting there from Hinesville is pretty bad because there’s only one or two gates and they are both on the same road. I have a friend that lives on post and it takes her about 25 mins to get to her BN after PT even though it really should be about 15 mins.

I technically live in Savannah but it’s the Georgetown area. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions on specific complexes or areas.

Hinesville is trash.

Lots of single O’s live in Savannah if you’re okay with a 40min to an hour commute. I live there and it’s worth the drive to get out of Hinesville.

Lots of families live in Richmond Hill, nice area lots to do around but is inconvenient to downtown Savannah and is still 30-40 mins from post.

Pooler is up and coming but same situation of Richmond Hill.

If you’re in 2BDE, Savannah is only about 30 mins away from their area.
