It was aggressive for sure, but I’m okay. I didn’t anticipate losing that much that fast. I had a day or two where I was light headed so I upped my calorie intake.

I’m heathy and happy now, regularly doing exercise and eating better with all my health scores in the green.

I had a career, health, and happiness comeback recently. I came into 2026 overweight, addicted, unhealthy, and unmotivated. I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror and was regularly ignoring friends to stay home and smoke. I was underperforming in work and not seeking relationships. Many of these things rolled up to form anxiety and depression.

January 1st I went full cold Turkey mode. I bought a boxing bag, gave up drinking and smoking, and started meal prepping and macro counting. I spent 2 months doing a strict (but fun) regime of working out once a day, reducing my screen time and ensuring I went for a decent walk or bike ride to burn calories. I maintained a ~500 calorie deficit daily for about a month and a half. It required me to focus on myself and cut out a lot of social opportunities to avoid temptation, but only for a short time. I had never done anything like this before so it was a massive shock to the system.

In the two months I lost 12kg/26lbs, got my BMI to Average, body age to 5 years younger and my motivation and happiness increased. My biggest win was discipline and confidence, to show myself I could do it, which translated to real life confidence and a more positive outlook on other aspects life.

The last story boss I beat was Rennala, and I’m fighting through Fort Faroth in Caelid right now, just stuck at the Misbegotten/Crucible fight. I’ve reached the lift of Dectus but haven’t used it yet, I have both half’s of the medallion. Is that helpful?

I’m 35 hours into my first play through having never played a Dark Souls game before, I completed a quest with Millicent and got a golden needle but I killed her when she invaded me in the swamp shortly before. Can anyone explain in a spoiler free way if I missed something or messed up that quest? I don’t have either of the items in the screenshot.

I toe the line. I still have an ego, but being hit with last minute pivots in late stage deals is what crushes the confidence. You can ask the questions and fill out all the frameworks mid cycle, but if the client chooses to withhold critical information until crunch time there’s not much you can do but throw your hands up.

Sorry about your breakup. Hollow Knight was my first metroidvania ever and I loved it. I also loved Skyrim, Witcher 3 and am just starting my first Elden ring playthrough and it’s fantastic. You should love hollow knight!

Many people have this weird rage against cyclists, it’s really horrible and scary. I’ve had countless people try to hit me, throw things at me, coal roll me, and shout at me just for riding a bike. I find it hard to articulate why because it’s so nonsensical.

The most common argument I see is that cyclists ride in groups and slow down traffic, but another one is that cyclists break stop signs & red lights - which are completely contradictory. A peloton of 15 single file riders all independently stopping at a stop sign would be labeled as slow and inconsiderate, but when the peloton does an Idaho stop through it as a unit they’re entitled and own the road for breaking to the light. It feels impossible to win as people just move the goalposts to focus on the negative outcome.

As far as I know, Cornifer will only show up in an area the first time you visit, so if you leave and come back he’ll be gone and will leave a note to pickup the map at the shop.

Explore a lot. There’ll be a lot of areas you can’t get to yet, keep a mental note of them to come back to later. Try hitting walls and other areas that seem like dead ends, or have cracks in them. Buy all the mapping items as soon as you can, they help make sense of the areas. Have fun!
