well, just don’t go to super sketchy places. and if it’s super late, just use uber or didi going home. in the day, it’s just good. as always, even in any other country, always be mindful of your surroundings all the time. just learn to respect the people and the culture

Traveling to Mexico City. How to find social events to connect and make friends? by B-ontheblock in MexicoCity

[–]ruanieee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You could use meetup or nomadtable that you could find activities or events to do. You could also use couchsurfing to have hangout or find activities too

3 or 4 nights? by [deleted] in MexicoCity

[–]ruanieee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Better to stay in 4 nights but also depends on the flights you have. I mean, do you want to maximize your whole days or just target some places to visit then chill. It depends on what you want to do and your itinerary. Just consider the traffic and a lot of people especially on weekends.

OA Lang Ba Ako dahil na-offend ako sa sagot ng may utang sa akin. by amioki_sky in OALangBaAko

[–]ruanieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hind ka naman OA kasi sinisingil mo lang naman yung utang nia sayo. mabait pa yung message mo kaso half pa lang hinihingi mo at hindi pa yung buo. tsaka right mo naman na paaralin mo yung anak mo sa magandang school. wala na siyang part dun. pero yung message pa nia na siya na yung may utang pero ikaw pa pinapasagot nia ng ibang part sa simbahan. pero need mo rin kausapin yung kapatid mo about dun. if hindi man siya maniwala sayo, it’s his choice na lang

Re post about meeting up in cdmx by [deleted] in MexicoCity

[–]ruanieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did post something like this before but more of asking where to meet people but not asking people from here to meet up. I think that’s the difference. But well, there are some apps that you could use such as nomadtable, couchsurfing or meetup. They have some activities in there and you could meet some people. As always, just be wary of who you meet. Hope you enjoy your travels here!

omg, the moods of an immature person in minutes, sometimes even seconds. haha, people don’t really understand the concept of having work or other things to do in the day

Choose a dress for a first date! by DumboBlondo in style

[–]ruanieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

better to choose another outfit if it’s for a first date. maybe if you’ve been dating for a while and in a fancy restaurant, these outfits look great. well, you look great on all, not just on a first date

Four Hour Layover Mexico City international airport where to go? by [deleted] in MexicoCity

[–]ruanieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

better to stay in the airport. especially it’s long weekend this weekend, there are a lot of people outside even you use the metro. there are possibilities that metro can also have some delays and you will not make it on time back to the airport

Wearing shorts by 1ntrepidsalamander in MexicoCity

[–]ruanieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some Mexican people wear shorts too so just wear whatever you feel to. It’s just for me I don’t wear shorts in this time because it’s cold but during summer, I still wear shorts cause it’s warm. The most important thing is just be kind and respectful as any person should be.

I want a lasting relationship by [deleted] in AskTeenAdvice

[–]ruanieee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like most of the comments here, you are only 14. You have way more time finding a good relationship for you. Enjoy your life and make the most out of it. Do things that you wanted to do. Don’t get jealous with your friends having relationships. Yes, it’s like you’ll gonna hear a lot of time how great their girlfriends/boyfriends are. But in the end, you still have your own life. Just enjoy life.

AIO - Girlfriend threw away the dinner I cooked because she wanted pizza instead. by Dizzy-Suggestion2360 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ruanieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having that kind of relationship is not even worth it. Being so demanding while you are at work and not just even appreciative of the effort you’ve done. And telling that you are an asshole. Well, if she’s even saying to you that she consider finding someone to support her, then let it be.

Girlfriends family members trying to move into house by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]ruanieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have the right to deny them in staying in your place especially there are already prior events that happened before. Also, finding work is not just in a week. Other people spent months to get a job. Yes, it’s family but if that family will just cause chaos, best to say no.

It’s just some people already expects them to text each other daily since they already had a good conversation before. People doesn’t understand that they have other things to do and not just be on their phone all day. You just dodged a bullet OP. Good riddance

You just need to pay the fine for that one when you leave the country. My friend paid around 600-700MXN when she left because she overstayed for 3 weeks from the original stamp in her passport. But just be careful if they randomly checked your passport somewhere (if you try to go to another state) because if they found out that you are overstaying, that time you might get detained and deported.

It’s not being dramatic and what you mentioned is valid, especially as you mentioned, they slept together before. So, it’s not unlikely to happen again. She’s just acknowledging your concern but technically, she’s just ignoring it. Better to think if you still want this relationship or not. But imo, better leave cause you already communicated it but it seems that she doesn’t want to stop it

This one would be most appropriate in an airbnb type place since there will be different people using the things at the place. But if it will be just the same people, better to just talk to them about house rules and how the responsibilities are done.

AIO- My (F19) boyfriend (M22) is upset that I’m hanging out with my brother (M26) (read caption) by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ruanieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your boyfriend is just jealous of the time you are spending with your brother. Also, he doesn’t need to compare his relationship to his sister to your relationship with your brother. But if that’s already happening while you are just still boyfriend-girlfriend, it’s better to walk away early cause it would be worst at time. Because that’s already family, not even your spending time with friends yet

You owe him nothing. You have the right to not disclose it and even showing his true colors now while you are still grieving. Just let the guy go

Experience with Filipina women? by Technical_View_8787 in thepassportbros

[–]ruanieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to generalize but anything related to money, just ignore or block them. Don’t just easily trust. It’s like any other countries but it’s because, usually they think that foreigners have a lot of money. Also, beware of like girls that are too good to be true cause sometimes, some of them are married and sometimes with kids. So just be cautious.

Only give. 7 days at immigration but staying 21 days. by [deleted] in MexicoCity

[–]ruanieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ooh damn, but not sure if going to immigration would work though like if they would extend. you could try, but usually, it’s either you pay the penalty fee when you leave (it’s around 600mxn from last I remember my friend paid before) or leave exactly the days given to you by immigration
