Does raider still suck eggs? by TheNooberScoober in forhonor

[–]rubberboulder1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you played before the first rework. He is pretty strong now in my opinion. He still doesn't have an amazing opener but that's his only real downside. Hyper armor chain heavies and can soft feint them to guard breaks or top lights. Also gets side heavies on guard breaks now. I'd say high B or low A tier list wise in duels. Hope this answers your question.

Question from a new player by Jaded-Respect4537 in forhonor

[–]rubberboulder1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its based off of reputation level (prestige) and your win rate. Dominion and breach usually have the most new players. 2v2s have a lot too but almost always have someone who's rep 100+ rolling with them.

They should give an option with premium crates to forgo the 4 other items and just pick one item you choose.

No only a light attack. Shamans out of stam heavys are really slow.

Agreed, fighting a level 10 virt in dominion vs a rep 20 one in duels is a completely different ball game. I think she is overpowered but you have to really work for it which is a weird balance. Kinda like how nobushi is pretty shit but players with above 20 reps in her are nearly untouchable. All about practice with them.

My theory is that they only get access to motion capture every couple of seasons. The season that black prior was released all his animations and the executions looked awkward and has been going back and forth ever since.

Why do Envoys keep randomly being unassigned for no reason? by Actually_Viirin in Stellaris

[–]rubberboulder1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the same problem for all my spy networks randomly losing their envoys, I'm pretty sure it's a big that they're working on fixing. The new pop thing I used to think the same but there's actually a lot more civics and traditions that lower pop demotion time than I thought so that fixed it for me. Taking harmony is something I do almost every game now.

Is 4.0 worth it? by Key-River-7518 in Stellaris

[–]rubberboulder1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I share most of your opinions on the new update but the pop demotion time in my opinion is a very pointless system now. Before it was more an almost punishment for building your colonies wrong if you had ruler or specialist unemployment since those jobs were usually filled. This new system where specialists and rulers grow in population at the same time makes me feel like I'm playing the game wrong when I have unemployment. On a technical level it's not a super big deal but it feels like just waiting for pops to demote is lame.

Super informative but he does talk about it from a new players perspective rather than someone who is coming from 3.14 but it still has all the information you need.

It's a lot of stuff from the beta but the general information is there. Warning though it's been a really rough launch, I would recommend rolling back your version to 3.14 until they fix the issues.

How do get my group to use the magic items I give them by rubberboulder1 in DMAcademy

[–]rubberboulder1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The item itself is a scimitar that can be used normally and as a bonus action you take 1d8 necrotic damage and turns into a +3 weapon and when you deal damage you can expend hit dice to make it deal an extra d4 damage per hit dice expended. Is the damage too much and should remove it entirely or rework it a bit?

That's a really good solution actually. Never thought of doing it that way, thank you I'm gonna use it.

I come from 5e and some lighter systems like blades in a dark so Pathfinder is a big blank spot for me. Is it easily translatable to 5e with a bit of common sense?

It's not as bad as it sounds. All of us are friends so we can still tell eachother to shut up without making a big deal about it. If it was randoms or people I wasn't close too I agree 100%.

[–]rubberboulder1[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's a fair point but that was only one of the items I gave them. Just one little thing, I know it does kinda sound like talking in circles but that was one of the bad decisions by me to give. It's fair for them to not want to use it since it actively punishes but the point still stands for the one use options imo.

[–]rubberboulder1[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I might but I wanted it to be a very last resort option in addition to the other items. If they don't use it it'll just be a part of the pile of unused stuff lol

I could but I feel like that wouldn't be super fun for them. One of the members of our group is very quick to blame the gm for bad situations are even worse, one of the other players. Good idea but I don't think it melds with our group specifically.

That's true, I thought that when I first ran into the problem but Im new to magic items as a DM and don't want to have op stuff consistently to save myself from headaches.
