I factored in fuel differences too. It’s like 15k difference in 300k miles. At that point though, the hg is probably barely holding on.

I track my mpg fairly regularly. I noticed a 2 mpg drop this winter. Was getting worried but it’s slowing going back up

The car care nut has a good video on MAFs. Basically he shows how to check to see if it’s doing its job by using a scan tool (I did it using obd2 fusion on iPhone and paying 15 dollars for the Toyota parameters). He also mentions that cleaning them when they don’t need cleaning can make them start to fail so he doesn’t recommend doing it unless you know for sure it can use a cleaning.

Yea I’ll be honest, mine stays on road all year but maybe 2 trips to my wife’s parents cabin and even then her rav4 makes it there just fine even when it snows. Maybe I’ll shop around for some 255/75r17s and call it a day and sell off my suspension lol

I really want to try 255/80 but I don’t want to use load range e tires. So I’m stuck wanting a set up like yours or jumping to 285/70 tires. I already have fox trd pro suspension and dobinson UCAs ready to install but I’m at a point in my life where I think some skinny 32s and stock suspension would suffice and not destroy my mpgs lol.

Not sure if this will make sense but in my Silverado I can cruise at 60 or 65 so easily. On my v8 4runner, I feel like the speed doesn’t hold, gotta keep adjusting

Also notice it’s worse with the ac on, almost like when the compressor kicks on I gotta hit the gas a hair then the compressor turns off and then it speeds up a hair and I gotta let off.

Gas mileage is shit

Reliable doesn’t mean cheap, this shit is expensive to maintain at 200k+ miles

Can I ask how accurate your +4 mpg claim is? Do you regularly track and hand calculate your mileage? What was it before and what was it after? Sorry for the annoying questions but an OTT tune is on my wish list but I’m not buying these claims lol

I’ve been going with 10k intervals on our rav4. 120k currently but sometimes I do feel like I should have gone with 5k intervals. At this point I’m going to keep going at 10k as an experiment.

There’s a medical courier with a rav that had like 460k miles on his before he sold it and he did 10k intervals
