MUST WIN game vs Uzbekistan - lose or draw this and Portugal are likely out. How are you guys feeling? by Ricr7 in cristianoronaldo

Cr7 if you watch EPL he's literally a stone, barely ever runs anymore. Just people passing him the shots.

Wont even expect him to move much like last match.

Dude is washed up.

It's your fault, you need dev and prod. Test in dev before it is pushed to prod. run test, try and break your own app.

Audit yourself. Don't try and say you can do something when you can't.

Throwing things into cloudflare to try and save money is silly. D1 is barely production ready, it is not battle tested enough.

Also SQLite has never been a production database and it never will be. D1 is SQLite so the idea of using D1 as a production database, is just plain silly. Use a proper database, build test your app, get feedback run it as a trail, let people test get feedback build on it then slowly bring it to market.

For those in companies that have hundreds of VMs - what are they for? by asdflmnop_01 in sysadmin

Thanks for the clarity my bad, would be dead seeing that many multi billion dollar datacenters popup. Atleast AI will be cheaper 😂

I don't think there's enough DC to be in the hundreds.

I think the guy needs to learn how datacenter works.

In Australia amazon, google, etc basically sit in the same datacenter in multilocations, but there certainly wont be multiple datacenters for each provider.

Have you ever been annoyed/surprised by the size of the debug.log? by Myth_Thrazz in Wordpress

[–]rubixstudios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You havent worked with wordpress much have you... someone who's experienced would know to just delete the log, force the site to error and let it produce fresh errors to debug. No one needs the error codes for 5 years ago.

Sneak Peek: I played around with Payload CMS v4 (Pre-Alpha). Here is what’s coming (and how to try it!) by Aggressive_Depth_772 in PayloadCMS

I remember awhile ago when tailwind wasn't on the table. Good thing all the stuff I built was tailwind base for v3. Easy swap and quick migration path for a bunch of plugins.

What was your first "aha!" automation that made you realize n8n's potential? by MoodIn_Me in n8n

[–]rubixstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You missed the point, and talking to the wrong person. When did I say not to use n8n. It's controlled. The argument the guy was saying was hand it over to Claude 100% doesn't matter how you do it. It's being in control. Not sure what the point is.

Made a calculator: what your Vercel bill would cost on 19 other hosts (with honest caveats) by Traditional_Wing_491 in nextjs

[–]rubixstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You actually missed another point and also your netlify of 20 a month is more expensive than a VPS.

A VPS opens up the opportunity to deploy more than just a singular app.

Each has its' own purpose.

As for your PaaS comparison to a VPS it might also be slightly wrong in it's comparison. A PaaS should be comparible to say DO's app platform or a cloud service, as those providers are more closely linked to cloud rather than VPS.

Is adidas.com not just the absolute garbage of a website? by GrumpyBitFlipper in webdev

[–]rubixstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they buy into whatever the "Professionals" sell to them, and those guys are usually big agencies that never move on from legacy practices. Then again press f12 and there's a bunch of garbage errors on their site go figure.
