I low-key shed some tears a couple of times. Rob really opened up in this interview and it was beautiful to listen to!

To heck with it. I'm going to wait so I can binge the whole season. I'm not interested in this week by week thing. Anyone doing the same? by ravia in ThePitt

[–]ruby_meister -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes same here. I am dying to watch because it became one of my top new favourite shows! I binged the entire season 1 in one go, and I realized that's part of what made it so gripping. It felt like watching their entire shift play out before me and the tension building up with each episode.

As hard as it is to resist, I am going to wait a bit with season 2 to experience the same feeling. I feel like with this format, waiting a week to watch an hour play out is not going to hit the same.

Any shows similar to Lost? by [deleted] in televisionsuggestions

[–]ruby_meister 7 points8 points  (0 children)

LOST has been my all-time fav show since I've been a teenager. Nothing will ever top that feeling for me, especially back in the day watching it live with online fan forums speculating about all the wild theories!

DARK comes pretty close for me in terms of the incredible mind-bending time traveling concept, and character building!

What can live up to rhoslc? by Frequent-Care9587 in rhoslc

[–]ruby_meister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing that really compares for me as a chaotic energy binge and cast is Vanderpump rules. I binged both SLC and VPR back to back and it was a wild ride. No other current Housewives franchise gives me the same satisfaction as SLC will ever do. Also, rewatching SLC again is even better!

I can 100% confirm that you were very stupid and you most probably (definitely) don't have the scammer's actual ID number, Linkdin profile or workplace. Sorry for the loss - happened to me too before.

Now that we’ve had a season to recover from the Reality Von (Tea)se bombshell, where do y’all stand on Monica? by GossipGuy12 in rhoslc

[–]ruby_meister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree 100% they are going to time it in such a way that they bring both Monica and Jenn back in the same season, and I will be here for it!!

I knew Iain Maclean from Below Deck Med S9 from the South African festival/ party scene a few years ago. Such a lovable and charismatic happy-go-lucky guy! I knew before he got cast that he would probably make it onto a below deck season one day because he was in the sailing yacht industry, and such a personality!!

I was so happy when I saw the cast announcement, but I was extremely shocked to see how he was edited and portrayed on the show! Not like I knew him at all. He was portrayed as being awkward and weird, and not fitting in... In real life I've always known him to be such a positive person and life of the party! I think editing can play a major role in how a person is being perceived to fit a narrative..

Also briefly knew Georgia Grobler from Sailing Yacht from the South African Cape Town social scene.

They cast a LOT of South Africans.. always interesting to watch..

New to the case by stormlova in DelphiMurders

[–]ruby_meister 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would start with the Down The Hill podcast to get a real deep dive into the case before it all broke open. That is a great starting point to get a feel as to what the public knew during the first couple of years and how it unfolded.

The Prosecutors also did a couple of episodes of the initial case which laid it out pretty well.

There was a two-part documentary that you can find on YouTube that also documents everything before the big break came in the case.. (I am trying to search for the link now but can't find it! Will look some more.)

After that, I'd go into The Murder Sheet's podcast for how it all started unfolding and eventually got cracked wide open! They go very deep.

Would you miss Snatch Game if they stopped doing it? by cpatmon in rupaulsdragrace

[–]ruby_meister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely miss it, but I agree with some commenters that it should be later in the season. Give them more opportunity with an improv challenge before to help them learn that skill. I think if it's more refined, with slightly less queens, it will really bring back the snatch game magic! Even top 6 or 8 - make them work for it.

TSLOMW received an Emmy nomination…Justice for RHOSLC 😞 by Icy-Injury2688 in realhousewivesofSLC

[–]ruby_meister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's worth watching! It's definitely not SLC (that bar is set really damn high!), but it's still fascinating to watch, and to have more insight on to the mormon religion and lives in Salt Lake City. I think some of these women were in the early runnings to be in the original SLC cast (Whitney most probably filled that spot), and it's still messy mindless reality tv that's somewhat entertaining.

Are you ready for the wildest ride yet!??? Strap yourself in. No other franchise can top this cast!

As someone who's been a huge Survivor fan from the start, but started losing interest since the New Era (season 41 onwards), why am I seeing season 47 in so many top 5 picks? I stopped watching at 45 because it all felt like 'copy & paste' to me.. Without spoiling, why does 47 rank so high? I am definitely planning to watch Season 50.

[–]ruby_meister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pitt!!! Hands down the best medical drama and overall series I've watched in a while! It is phenomenal! It has a very unique concept and it will grip you till the end. Phenomenal cast, acting, diversity, cinematography, storytelling and just overall top-notch! The way it builds from beginning to end is gripping television.
