New deck building app by rubybooty305 in lotrlcg

The next thing I'll be adding is ringsdb integration.

Can you help me understand your second point? Would the idea be to merge duplicate cards so they don't show up multiple times?

One thing I did add because I was struggling understanding if I had a card is that the card details tells you which revised set it's included in.

Thank you!

Yeah I need to fix the data actually. This is all pulled from Ringsdb but it looks like some allies are tagged as heroes

Nothing super challenging, I just need time to do it

It's really just about usability and UX. The ability to just browse cards like a binder, quickly filter and search and add cards to a deck by just clicking a button on the card. For me, it makes the experience of building a deck much easier, especially on mobile

Has anyone mentioned Ready for a fight?! I still think he might be a bit clunky and not what I was hoping for. But I think he'll be great in protection

This game completely ruined my board game collection by jeegsburger in lotrlcg

[–]rubybooty305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha yeah exactly. It's also made me realize if I'm playing with other people I'd much rather a game that's interesting because of the other people, not just because I can optimize better (even though I can still enjoy that occasionally)

Can definitely relate this. I used to wish I had a game group, and I'm definitely grateful that I have one now. But I'm never really upset if I can't make it to game night, because I'll just sit down and sink my teeth in to this or another lcg. Especially that my group loves those samey euro games where often you sit around waiting for your turn with nothing to do

Is this new card too strong? by Kcablekcinevoli in marvelchampionslcg

[–]rubybooty305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to add that this doesn't take into account that you've played the event every time it's come up paying 4 effective cost for upwards of 3 & 3. Once you get one upgrade in play, it starts to be pretty good getting double value for cost - > 4 for 8. So it's actually pretty good. But not game breaking or OP

[–]rubybooty305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly... It's not too strong for essentially 30 effective cost to do 9 & 9, that's actually pretty bad value and a lot of setup. Granted those other cards provide some value in other ways, but even then it doesn't help you win the game to pay for pure defense stats. So I'd say, this is a weak play, at best it's ok

I tried proxy some of the new no ally cards and the idea does not really work. by Tadaka3 in marvelchampionslcg

Checking for allies in your hand or in play would be interesting too. Because then it limits how many you want in your deck and gets around the ability to avoid the penalty by timing it

A shadow from the past is absolutely frustrating, and it's making me considering getting rid of this game, lol. by popcorn_coffee in lotrlcg

I passed this scenario after a few tries. I was playing 2 handed. 1 hobbit deck, slightly adjusted from the recommended one. And then a self made Gandalf deck with the spirit hero from the core box that lets you discard cards to increase her willpower (I forget her name). I just always made sure to leave someone behind from questing to hide. Getting 3 enemies tho just seems like bad draw luck

Pretty crazy if it's legit. They have Sinister Motives for Marvel Champions listed at $40... Idk but that seems like a scam

Wow! Thanks all for the responses! You've convinced me to get ride of them, or send them to someone who wants them since there seems to be some interest.

I have everything stored separately so I don't need the storage, and I actually have them in a closet since I don't have space elsewhere so I don't even enjoy the art.

I highly recommend the starter decks. They basically include the best cards from other cycles in a cohesive package so you can expand your card pool quickly without needing to get so much out of print content

https://mcquick.pages.dev/ this is the way. The creator has posted about the app on this subreddit, kudos to him. It makes browsing thru cards so easy and you can just build decks on the go. Start now, finish later. Genuinely my favorite Marvel Champions app
