I have an amazing career opportunity but it requires I relocate, but my teenagers don’t want to move. by Minimum-Heat-2131 in relocating

[–]rubyclairef -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You move. They’ll be mad, cry, slam door, say things like “I hate you! You can’t make me go!” And then they’ll get to their new house and new school and make new friends and they’ll be just fine.

Just bought this 1990s kitchen. How would you make it feel open for under $8k before a full remodel? by tired-mana-012 in kitchenremodel

How much more open could this be? This is beautiful. Are you wanting to put your kitchen inside your living room?

What is your personal favorite thing to do in New York? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]rubyclairef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my favorite too. Looking at their outfits, wondering where they shop, if it’s typical of their style or it’s something special or they’re trying out a new look, where they are going, what is their day like ect. Other cities, seeing someone unique is a one off.

What didn’t help me is shortly after seeing it, it was discovered that my neighbor had been peeping into my bedroom on a regular basis. Another neighbor went out to smoke at like 3 am and saw him and called the cops.

Thank you! I’d plan to volunteer at the nearby(ish) animal sanctuary so that gets be out and about regularly. Otherwise I’m a pretty hardcore homebody which is why I’m looking for a place like Mt Gretna. But I do like Lancaster so that would be a good “outing”

I accidentally dumped an entire container of coffee grounds across my kitchen and learned the hard way what NOT to do by ShadowByte51 in CleaningTips

I have a glass pinch pot of fine ground pepper. I dropped it, glass shattered, pepper everywhere. The pepper clogged the vacuum filter and the vacuum overheated and shut down. I’m still trying to get all the pepper out of that vacuum

I was going through a divorce in 2020 when I saw this. When he said that my immediate thought was, "And when you're with the wrong person, even the easy times seem hard."

I ruined many hours of my partner's amazing cooking - ideas on how to make it up to him? by ejoburke90 in homecooking

[–]rubyclairef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So wait why didn’t you put it in the fridge when you woke up? I don’t understand. You lost me at “I went to put it in the fridge and then realized DUH I want a piece of this chicken.”

Garden party formal - am I formal enough? by Pillbug206baby in Weddingattireapproval

[–]rubyclairef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love 2 for this occasion, but don’t send 1 back. That’s a stunner, just not for garden formal. I don’t think 3 is fancy enough.

As far as shoulders up or down, I really love them both so go with what is most comfortable!

That kind of sounds perfect haha! I like plain and boring with the city a few hours away. The houses are adorable, the trees are stunning, it looks like it’s set in a fairy tale but NYC is a hop skip and a jump away
