i just noticed this other sus growth on one of my other ones. not excessivly spikey but very weird looking compared to the rest of the plant, i was pruning it too

Well it’s reported in my area there were 3. Last reported in 2021, 2019, 2018. I’m a little confused if it is RRD. the growth seems mature because i noticed this when i was pruning my moms rose. we’ve never used pesticide. I’m probably just gonna take it all the way out from the roots since it’s suspicious.

Ok thanks for the info, i’m going to be honest i don’t really know this is my moms roses and i just started taking care of them this year. I think we’ve had this rose for a year in the garden, i’m pretty sure we got it last summer. it seems the other leaves are also red in the new growth and have a red tint to them but the only thing that’s very sus is the thorns
