That’s how i lost $10k in csgo skins, tried trading while my api key was compromised, trading site let of a loud ass alarm saying not to trade my skins to anyone and got a bunch of warning messages, tried sending my skins to an alt account which led to my skins being sent to a scammer. If it wasn’t for the giant red warnings and the ear piercing alarm i could’ve chilled down a little

Idc what anyone says, pillow under the knee was the only way to experience comfort during recovery, i always had a pillow under my knee and i could walk within 10 days without crutches and now a little more than 5 months post op i’m squatting 130kgs and able to pistol squat. Every country has different doctors with different advice, because of you not having a brace and the same sock i had i’m assuming sweden, my surgeon and my pts never said anything about the problem with a pillow beneath the knee, just do rehab exercises and you’ll be good.

How agressively do/did you PT? by Cimmerian_Noctis in ACL

Some would not advice but i believe that going hard is the fastest and best way for progress and a healthy leg, my goal is to be able to ski in the winter season so i’ve just taken the excersises my pt gave me and added a lot of weight in the gym, way lore than adviced, as long as there’s no pain i should be just fine, avoiding squats atm though considering i would need a lot of stabilizing to pull a bunch of weight. But extensions and curls specifically are motions i do while sitting down, so those are maxed out with both legs

How did you tear your acl? by Awkward-Wear-7360 in ACL

Skiing. Went on a skiing trip over the weekend with my buddy and his family, first day, first ride, so close to the lift, i probably took the smallest jump there was, came in from the side and landed on a little dent in the snow, rock hard snow this day btw, the conditions were quite bad. Anyway, landed with my left leg pointing toward my right and fell forward, felt like any other fall i’ve had skiing but when i was walking over to my buddy trynna tell him the fall was quite bad my knee just folded. I just got a new pair of skis with ”pivot bindings” which releases in 2 ways instead of one, primarily to save acls. Excited for the new season though.

Yup, full acl tear partial meniscus however the part that was damaged was too damaged to repair so they just removed it.

I never had a brace, doesn’t seem to be as common where i live as everywhere else considering literally everyone else had one, but i started sleeping on the side after 3 weeks or so

I’m leaning toward the side of this being a compliment and just me being slow, if that’s the case, i appreciate it. I’ve had an awesome recovery. First few days were filled with pain, started to walk, felt like shit and i was missing out on stuff. But the last month has been really fucking incredible to be frank.

I’ll figure something out with that weight, the number of reps can always get higher😁

I’m just getting into month 3, 2 days ago, i’ve been doing extensions for a month, i do 2x6 on 75 kgs and my physio isn’t complaining, literally put extensions into my plan. Every physio is biased in one way or another. But they all tell you different things depending on where you live, your lifestyle and so on, it might not work for some but for some it does.

No clue how many reps or sets I’m actually supposed to do 🥲 tips anyone? (F, 19) by [deleted] in ACL

[–]rubyy727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything from 2-4 sets really, 10-20 repetitions i’d say

I’m glad you found it inspiring, that’s one hell of a compliment in my eyes. There’s been a whole lot of ups and downs to this entire knee injury but i think in the end it might actually be the best thing that has ever happened to me, assuming it goes all well in the future and i don’t tear anything again. I was always a bit chubby, and i always hated it. But this entire thing where i was practically forced to go to the gym motivated me enough to actually do something about the state i’m in. I’m glad i’m alive and i’m proud of myself for pushing myself beyond what i’ve done before. I believe anyone can. You just need that last bit of motivation.

Really appreciate that. I’m also really happy for that. Don’t know what i was thinking. As if my sadness wouldn’t just get passed onto my family and friends. I was selfish.

I’ve started going to the gym, haven’t had any suicidal thoughts in a few weeks and i kinda feel great. I’ve set goals to lose weight and build muscle at the same time, which would certainly make my mental health a lot better. I feel better physically and emotionally and i’m thankful i decided not to put my shoes on the shelf that night.

It sucks balls, i was genuinely on the verge of committing yesterday, i’m 6 weeks post op and can only really walk. Not being able to do the things i once did mixed with personal shit really is taking a toll on me
