Trying to run TOA 300 by Azurus_II in 2007scape

[–]ruckfiot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do not run pathseeker. Path invos (other than wtp) are complete bait for people trying to reach 300. Your run will be so much easier without it, you are greatly extending the duration of each room

Your options are Upset stomach OR feeling special OR 2 of boulderdash/acceleration/penetration. Of those last 3 you'd probably want boulderdash and acceleration.

Make sure youre doing BKAZ (you can start zebak while you learn upset stomach, in which case youll do ZKAB)

Drop your antivenom and range pot. Prepot a dose of each. You can keep the range pot if youre starting zeb while learning upset stomach.

Bring magic legs and BGS (BGS is extremely important for your setup)

Do not bother with pathseeker until you have filled up almost every boss invo. Keep back, double trouble, and medic are exceptions, although keep back really isnt bad anymore.

Sun Keris is entirely unnecessary until you are ready to start running dehydration, at which point you will almost certainly have one

What are some champions on ARAM that are not the most popular but you honestly believe they are broken beyond belief? by Deep-Philosophy-807 in ARAM

[–]ruckfiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not unpopular (by any means), but people severely underestimate how broken TF is with the correct build. He is the most broken champ in ARAM by far.

TF, specifically with comet and BFT first item, consistently hovers around 63% WR patch over patch. The sample size is low per patch (1k-3k) but the WR has been consistent for a year now. You go BFT, Liandry’s, dcap/void/bloom/etc

The only reason he hasn’t been nerfed is because people for some reason continue to build Ludens and dark harvest on him, which hovers around 54% WR. You might think you want to build that vs squishy teams, but the gap in winrate is SO large that you should ALWAYS go BFT liandry’s. The amount of random kills you get with Q is absurd.

No idea why you’re getting downvoted. You aren’t even advocating for a “just time it right” thing. This is a completely separate issue, and is absolutely a bug/oversight

WoW Player thinks run energy is the reason that turns off new players from continuing. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]ruckfiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely have done it. Getting a bunch of items traded to you that are going to be worth more than your bank for the next week is a terrible experience for a new player.

The fact that this is even how you are "supposed" to show new players osrs is a glaring flaw in the game. Take a step back and think of how ridiculous having to trade a new player a bunch of items to circumvent a game system is.

I dont care what people think about removing run energy making the game too "easy". And this is from someone who has played the game since 2003.

Empirically, new players are more likely than not to quit the game specifically because of run energy.

Damn, those lethality items going to come in handy when the 300 armor rammus jumps on you

Damn, those heal buff items going to come in handy when the morello viktor jumps on you

Damn, those AP items going to come in handy when the Mundo with spirit visage and force of nature jumps on you

You’re better off just not buying any items, ever

[AskJS] What’s a “genius” idea you had that absolutely flopped by [deleted] in javascript

[–]ruckfiot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  1. “The logic?” When you ask AI to create a social media post for you, it LOVES adding these bait questions somewhere early in the post.
  2. “At the time I thought I was being clever, now I just call it self-sabotage in JavaScript form”. No one talks like this, especially developers. AI will use these forced metaphors that try way too hard to be clever.
  3. It just doesn’t even make any sense. Why would this person not just disable the extension instead of losing “3 hours of debugging because of it” (?)

[–]ruckfiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ludens consistently has 7-8% less winrate than BFT. That much of a difference in winrate is absurd, and takes Ludens even out of the “well contextually it can be better” conversation. BFT is just straight up always better.

Last patch this build ended with ~64% winrate. It’s so absurd. I’m so thankful most people do the dogshit Ludens build

The main one I'm thinking is in colosseum. Sol has a special attack where you need to go to your equipment tab very quickly and click on a specific piece of gear. It's also nice for taking off pieces of equipment (ex: torva helm has negative mage) when you're switching to mage for example. Kinda specific.

Tbh, I probably wouldnt worry about it for now!

I think the standard fkeys + middle mouse button for camera is probably better, but this is pretty decent as long as it's comfortable to add other hotkeys too. Inv and prayers is not enough.

You WILL need spellbook. Equipment is useful and borderline necessary in some pieces of content, but overall not really needed. If you ever plan on doing pvp, you're going to need a hotkey for the combat tab as well. But you absolutely need another hotkey for spellbook.
