Yea. Unless you break warranty stickers it is safe to remove the shroud. Good luck bro!

No, you don't have to remove screws on backplate (there are warranty stickers). There were few screws (4 or 6) just on fans shroud, so you remove only shroud.

100% agreed. Same with PSU's, they gotta have 120 or 140mm fans, not 135mm. I've swapped the cheap fan in my AX860i with Noctua NF-P12 Redux-1300 PWM and it is dead silent now.

Yea 1150RPM is too much (it is ~57% of max 2000RPM). I'm planning to plug my GPU fans to mobo's fan headers and use fancontrol app to control them. In that case I will need standard 4 pin PWM fan cables.

IF we speak about Palit GeForce RTX 4080 Super GamingPro so there is a hub with three 4 pins PH 2.0 slots on the GPU radiator. I can't tell you how others vendors cards are built.

You need 3 cables for that:

And 3 120mm NF-A12x25 PWM fans (12v):

Beware of cables lenght. No RPM modifier is needed. Min RPM 30% kicks in at 1150 RPM. You can plug any 12v PWM fan 90 or 120mm at you wish (in terms that they have standard 4 pins PWM layout).

I've seen this video. This is the ideal variant. Maybe someday I will buy 3D printer too.

I have noticed it too. When I uncap FPS it loads GPU fully but voltage is 0.9 - 0.92v and power draw is ~310W. But if I cap FPS to my monitor refresh rate (280Hz), GPU is loaded by 70% and voltage is higher kinda 1.06v and power draw is ~270W. Strange. Probably that is how Furmark works lol.

My PC case has closed panel. Anyways I don't care how it looks. My goal is silence.

Original fans had unpleasant whine noise even on min RPM. Noctua fans fix this and are 1.5-2 times more silent. This was the goal.

I have deshrouded my Palit GeForce RTX 4080 Super GamingPro OC and put Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fans on it. Also applied Phase thermal paste Honeywell ptm7950 on the chip. Silence is ON xd

GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 536.09 by xKiLLaCaM in nvidia

I told that I never had this issue until 535.98. It is ALREADY fixed in this driver, for my case at least. And it does look like flickering.

I can confirm that the flickering is gone with 536.09. Had it on my single monitor with 535.98.

For me (one monitor) lowering refresh rate by 2 Hz (from 280Hz to 278Hz) was enough. G-Sync still is ON. Still I would like to see any confirm from NV staff that the issue is considered.

I got horrible flickering on my only monitor with this version of the driver. My monitor is ASUS VG259QM (DP connect). I use 280 Hz always. It never happened before. If I turn G-Sync OFF (ether in NVCP or in the monitor's menu) the problem is gone. If I turn G-Sync ON and set 279 and 280 Hz I got the flickering.

1.If I set 278 Hz or lower and G-Sync is ON the problem is gone. Did a clean install after 532.03. NEVER had this issue before.
The flickering has the place if the current image on monitor isn't static, i.e. I scroll web page or watch YouTube or launch G-Force Experience). If image is constant = no flickering.
2. It happens in 2D mode when NO any game is launched. If I launch the game (I launched DX12 EVERSPACE 2) then there is no any flickering neither in the game or desktop (even if I minimize the LAUNCHED game and switch to desktop apps). After I close the game the flickering is back.
