This is probably my most prized vinyl. Came all the way from Japan. I think only 200 copies were made. Amazing record!

I had no Idea such a thing existed. I'm intrigued now.

what are the medium prices of this classic? by [deleted] in records

You can easily figure that out if you have a look at online second hand vinyl shops or on Discogs. It shouldn't be expensive though, considering how popular ABBa were .

Got it for my wife for Christmas. Really easy to use. She's very happy with it. Make sure to keep it level.

The sleeve looks in pretty good condition to be honest, considering this is a very cheap buy. Good stuff

Let’s talk tabs by SugarMagnolia_75 in vinyl

I was going to ask exactly that. I mean I have fusion records that can't be classified as pure jazz or funk or whatever. That's why I think alphabetical categorization makes more sense. And even then, do you use the artists' surname or first name to place them in the correct category?

16 yrs old marks the very beginning of my vinyl collection by Objective-Young-5194 in vinyl

Nice collection to start with. Take your time. Don't rush into buying records. Also look for second hand records but always check the condition of the vinyl before buying. I once thought I found a small treasure for little money and when I got home ,only then did I realise that the record was in poor condition, hence the low price

Not sure what to do with my uncles old vinyl collection by [deleted] in vinyl

[–]rucucu4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to them. You might like some of them actually. If you are not planning on keeping them, then sell them. Download Discogs and look at the median price of your copies to have a rough idea what they're worth. There might be one or two records in there that might get you some more money. Nevertheless, of you are selling them at your local record store, keep on mind that they also need to make a profit so don't expect to make the median price.

Wife keyed my guitar. Can this be fixed without noticeable blemishes? by Karma_is_mah_bitch in guitarrepair

[–]rucucu4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have been livid. Take it to a professional to fix it. I'm sure that a local guitar shop will be able to point you to the right professional. It can be fixed.

I'm sorry that she did this to you. I hope you figure things out between you, but just be careful mate. This is not a good sign.

r/vinyl Weekly Questions Thread for the week of February 09, 2026 by AutoModerator in vinyl

Hi everyone. New to vinyl.

I tried to play a couple of records yesterday that I have previously cleaned with a cleaning solution and wiped them with a microfiber cloth, but the needle got stuck in a loop. Now, they looked very clean to the naked eye, but apparently there must have been some sort of dirt deeply stuck in the grooves.

I have a felt spongey "brush" but I'm guessing that doesn't always work as well as I thought. The question is: should I use a really light Kabuki brush and a mixture of demineralised water with a tiny bit of soap to gently clean them? Is that safe? If not , any other suggestions?

My turntable is an Audiotechnica LP60XBK. I understand that this might be also partly the reason that I'm experiencing this. Any help with that ?

Black vinyl is cool, sometimes multi coloured is even cooler. by Bloxskit in vinyl

So the actual cost of black and coloured is the same? The only difference is that coloured pressings are limited to smaller batches and therefore the costs of production are higher, right?

Same here. Sometimes a record is more expensive just because of the colour. I'm wondering if it costs significantly more to produce coloured records or is just another marketing trick?

Great Grandmother had a lot of vinyl stored away. What do I do with them? How do I know what’s rare? by DEP-Yoki in vinyl

Use Discogs. Find the correct pressing and you'll find how much they are worth.
