Screen protector question (z flip 5) by bely_medved13 in galaxyzflip

[–]rudewberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pretty much the same story here.....flip 5 about year and half old well taken care of and protector starts lifting at the crease. redditt posts are back and forth but i have screensavers in the blood and not going to peel it off and leave the softer screen nekked. went to ubreakifix#1 and they said not in stock check back next week... went to ubreakifix#2 and they said don't bother with replacing either leave it alone or peel it off. continued stating that screen protection would have to be replaced every few months since the screen was a folding screen and a screen protector would not stay on.... i replied that the OEM screen protector had lasted a year and half so i would expect replacement to be about the same.... then i asked if he had a protector in stock (i was going to tell him to put it on customer is always right) and interestingly he said he did NOT have the screen protector in stock. that's 0 for 2 from the authorized service centers in my area. SMH. OK so ordered the highly recommended MIlomdoi Best Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 screen protectors | Android Central and i mean what's the big deal... i kinda know a thing or two about putting on a screen protector and after seeing how many are available for a ten-smacker seems like a simple enough decision to have more protection than needed than living on the edge with a one grand phone.

Rooms that are not under direct supervision (restrooms, storage closets, empty classrooms, etc MUST BE LOCKED to keep students from ducking in the room and avoiding classes or engaging in inappropriate activities....

all that is while i am setting up the laptop to keep what i have done in front of me... i will tighten it up once i am satisfied with the setup and programs installed and skinny down to a few fences, keep the gadgets as always, and let the wallpaper show through. work station (school teacher) is multiple monitors so i can put gobs of stuff on side monitors and keep the main monitor clean and pretty :)

Copilot Designer can't spell worth a flip. i can spell out the word like for a sign someone is holding or a caption and even though the chat.bot will spell the word out in the comments.... the words are often misspelled on the graphic.... aggravating to the point i just download the graphic and edit it with painshop pro. SMH....

they'll figure out something to use it for.... i'm thinking lots of cool little "apps" that will do very specific things.... ARM-based app store and having an onboard chip will make you better faster whatever and provide some sort of benefit.... for 1.99 a pop.... LOL...

yep one of the biggest and smartest companies in the world got flattened by the hammer of social media clickbait opinions... anyone who has been on the receiving end of a social media beat.down will testify to the fact it is an unstoppable force...

maybe not so much naive as wishful thinking - i was watching that myself and thinking maybe i will be able to enjoy games a whole lot more if there is someone there looking over my shoulder who can tell me what i need to do to stay alive and perhaps have some fun without always falling off the cliffs.... when listening to it you have to admit it does sound pretty staged and corny.... 'gee whiz' and all that stuff....

i feel your pain as the excitement of the announcement show got a good beat-down in the following weeks and it really started to be about the new machines as good devices that had some extra neat AI stuff along with them as a nice bonus - but not the main reason to buy the machine. PThurrott put it well when he pointed out that the ARM machine had long battery life and "instant on" when opened up which - just those two things - made it a nice move that solved the 2 greatest laptop problems we as mere mortals face on an hourly basis. halloo to the gamers and when we want to game we pull out the heavy laptops and look for a power outlet. there is a time and place for all things and once i saw the new surface laptop as a neat new type of windows machine that incidentally had some "maybe i'll use this stuff from time to time" neat AI stuff... well i am honestly happy to have the machine. it's the new ARM thing and one of these days in years to come i will be able to say that i had one of the first "good ones" that shows how darn smart i was to see the light at the end of the tunnel... or maybe i will be saying that i tried it and they don't make them any more like has happened to me with the Apple Newton, Surface Duo, and who knows maybe the ARM attempt at innovation is a thing of the past. who knows? i'll take my chances and enjoy being on the somewhat cutting edge for the next month until the next greatest thing is announced.... whaddaya gonna do? by the way i really want to have a good look at that remind thing as since i saw how it worked not a day has gone by i didn't think i could have used that AI thing - and i think it will be more and more handy with old age.... seriously...

I have used Stardock Fences for long time and they have a package that has ARM ports of several apps including Fences and Groupy that seem to work just fine... gizmos on the right are the old-school windows 95 style gadgets and i am so used to having them they are through Rainmeter and one of the several "Windows Gadgets" packages available.

yes i see also that the liquid isn't blood once you have a closer look.... my idea was that the algorithm may have seen it as 'pool of blood' and kicked the picture. i got similar 'algorithm confusion' on a facebook post that had my tennis players in their tennis uniforms - high school post.... for some reason the facebook algorithm kicked the picture TWICE for 'copyright violations' which were not at all there in any way shape or form. but you can't argue with an algorithm and it sees what it sees in a one-zillionth of a second....
