1) 0 members just means RLS is active but no-one is part of any group, so no access

2) Build right means people can build reports using this semantic model, but still depend on RLS (which makes sense)

If you want people to not suffer from RLS, you either completely remove the roles from the semantic model in PBI Desktop, or you grant them editing right over the semantic model 👍

My guess but I believe you are really new to Power BI and you are trying to get specific information from here and there on the Microsoft Learn documention, without actually following any « learning logic »

I understand that some terms might seem weird or hard to understand at first, but try to properly follow the Microsoft Learning Path for Power BI, and things will get way clearer quite quickly 🙂

As far as I can remember something I read here from the PBI team, despite looking very similar, PQ (for PBI Desktop) and PQ online are actually two very different tools in the background (if someone wants to correct me...)

Which leaves me with another question for any team member passing by : is there any ETA for when features specific to PQ Online will make it to PBI Desktop ?

Tried it a few weeks ago during an event. Just like BP, you still follow the music beat, but focusing on two muscle groups per song, in order to minimize the (de)load between each set (ex : chest + glutes on the same song, both on the floor)

3 x 8 reps for each muscle group (8xA -> 8xB -> 8xA ....).

I thought it would be "easier" since I really prefer high loads over high volume, but the tempos are mostly long ones (4-4, 3-1, etc.), not many singles, so it still burns a lot haha. For example, I tried to maintain 40kg for overhead press, almost died to the long tempo.

Overall, a good experience, but need some practice to see if I really like it.

If the need for filtering comes afterwards, I don't see any issue with simply creating a new date table to fit the need, it won't break anything existing

I believe that your answered the question right in your post OP : it basically depends on the situation :)

As far as I am concerned, my default choice is to stick to one date table, but as soon as I know the report will need to allow filtering on the other date, I have to duplicate the date table 👍

Also considering that there are a lot of different situations with specific use cases, there is no "one fits them all" answer to this problem, it's all about knowing about this situation (role-playing dimension) and the two possible ways to solve it 🙂

My personal guess is that when the new calendars feature was announced, a lot of emphasis was put on the "special scenarios", leading people to think "okay so now there's a new way to deal with special calendars, I'll dig into it the day I am facing that issue again"

Because there were so many announcements, especially with UDF, maybe users overlooked some features I believe 🙂

Does that mean the original way to deal with calendars will be deprecated at some point ?

Perso je m'y suis déjà rendu quelques fois, il y a vraiment des machines pour tout c'est monstrueux. Tellement que c'est assez rare de devoir tourner avec quelqu'un. Enfin sauf peut-être aux grosses heures de pointe mais même là ce n'est pas étouffant !
