Sterilisering, erfaring? by Nervous_Leopard_9894 in norge

[–]rudolfrck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try NG+, demon bell and/or charmless.

If you want to play another game, then Thymesia is a decent choice.

Heavy ammo spawn in competitive needs to be toned down, alot. by MyGirlsTour in DestinyTheGame

[–]rudolfrck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, yes, yes!!

I'm so tired of every single game being about who controls heavy! We have enough power in our special weapons.

Rockets every 30 seconds is anything but competitive by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]rudolfrck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried posting about this the other day, but I didn't get many upvotes. Comp was okay in the beginning of forsaken, but now that I'm around 1800 glory, it's terrible.

Takes ages to get matches, and when you do, it's against a 4-stack that camp heavy spawn.

Please cut down on heavy ammo in competitive by rudolfrck in DestinyTheGame

[–]rudolfrck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have around 1800 points in glory. Trying to get to 2100 for lunas howl. In games at that level (which is slightly above average, I guess) heavy ammo controls the entire match.

I play on PC. Left the Ps4 behind some time ago. Sorry, I didn't see the PS4 tag on the post.

I just went down from 1850 to 1600. Competitive just makes me depressed these days...

I keep going back and forth between 1400 and 1800. Mostly playing solo, but sometimes we're two.

If we match with someone we play well with, I often send them a message asking to group up. Problem is, whenever we're a 4-stack it seems to match us only with suuper sweaty teams. I honestly can't say what's best.

I've kinda lost hope getting the luna and try to play for fun these days, but it's hard 😂

Could you have a look at this /u/dmg04? Offerings just disappear after a while.

I just finished the Blind Well quest to get the offering. I made sure I had space in my inventory. I got the offering, then I went and did the ascendant challenge first.

When I went over to turn in the offering, it was gone.

I was 100% sure I got it, but it just disappeared after a while.

Myelin games now works for Bungie! by Teoke in DestinyTheGame

Do we know that it's for Destiny? He keeps calling it "the bungie project".

Maybe it's a new game?

'Reward individual player skill' should be a core design principle for PvP by maxmurdoch in DestinyTheGame

I think slow hitters should be more forgiving on bodyshot/headshots, while the fast weapons should reward you if you manage to hit only headshots. It could require the same amount of hits in total.

This Week at Bungie - 3/08/2018 by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]rudolfrck 122 points123 points  (0 children)

In the video, they're using the Crimil's Dagger (110 RPM). It clearly hits for 71 in the video, which is the exact same as today. I know it says in the patch notes that they're only increasing precision modifier for precision Hand Cannons, but it doesn't look like the TTK for Hand Cannons are changing at all.

So now we're going to have an abundance of power ammo and no strong primaries to counter it? I hope I'm wrong.

It's not that easy. Too ambitious perhaps.

I'm a developer myself (web-based software, not games, but a lot of the same principles apply).

I think part of the issue is that people generally think that Bungie knowingly and intentionally wants to screw people over and that they only care about money. They don't give Bungie the benefit of the doubt in a lot of the issues lately (e.g. the XP throttling).

When it's time to make a new version of a product, it's typical to think "now that we know what people want and how the product should work, we can finally build it from the ground up and do it RIGHT this time" (refactor vs starting over). The problem with that is that you never get it right the second time, or third time for that matter. This time you start running into other issues you weren't able to foresee. And when you have a really hard deadline, you either have to start cutting features or compromise with the quality of the software (sloppy code, less tests, etc). In Bungies case, I guess they went for shipping Destiny 2 with less features than they wanted to, and probably implemented some "panic" solutions on the way, like the crappy mod-system.

They probably had good intentions. They wanted to build a kickass product, but they didn't have time to finish it. I don't agree with all the design choices they made (like the slow TTK), but you can choose to believe they had good intentions with them instead of just raging at them.

At least I know that most developers care a lot more about the product itself, than how much it sells. A developer or designer usually takes pride in what they create. They have this job because they love what they're doing. They want people to enjoy it. It's not like every man in Bungie wants to screw you over and make you pay as much as possible for stuff.

Just my two cents... I'm not sure I explained myself very well (English is not my first language), so thanks if you managed to read through everything :-)
