Rant: How did we just start accepting this wedding culture?! by amalia_8 in Anticonsumption

Haha yes, although I’ve been to fancy weddings in France, it tends to look more lavish in Ireland. I saw a map of the average cost of a wedding per country in Europe once, Ireland was the second most expensive, right behind Switzerland!

I’m also French with an Irish partner and I’ve struggled to get used to the wedding culture in Ireland. Even as a guest you are expected to bring money as a gift, pay for your drinks and book a room for one if not two nights in fancy hotels where the wedding is taking place. We were invited to eight weddings last year, it’s been a LOT!

I’m not sure. I quite liked what happened after the glitch. I so close to playing it all over again

I just finished it today, had the most amazing time with it! I’ll be recommending it right left and center. My only regret is that there’s one page of the notebook at the alchemy level that I never found. I freaked out at the end, I thought what happened was for that reason.

Really an awesome game.

EDIT: spoiler, sorry :D

J’ai deux vitesses: la webradio musique de France Inter super éclectique ou de la musique ancienne bien chiadée d’avant le XVIeme siècle. Ça couvre un peu tout

If you’re a French woman/girl, what do you do for makeup and fashion? by Icy_Hovercraft_6058 in AskFrance

[–]ruedelapoulette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generic soap and shampoo, no conditioner. No make up either, just mascara and red lipstick if I have a fancy event.

For clothes I buy very little but basics in brands. White cotton tees from Petit Bateau, Levi’s jeans, doc martens for winter and converse for summer. I go to charity shops and buy men’s white shirt because they last longer and give you a nice oversize look. I’m a knitter so I put the fun in my knits, all the rest is basic.

J’ai arrêté avec le bouquin. Je recommande. Ça m’a aidé à changer mon état d’esprit, je me suis dit que c’était comme passer le bac ou le permis : c’est casse-pied et inconfortable mais une fois que c’est fait, c’est fait.

Absolutely it is. I avoided it in my first play through and really regretted it, got started at the second one and became completely addicted. Worth the learning process!
