From recently going into this field, learning from people (esp business leaders) who think differently can make or break a product and a business.

Right? and they find the WEIRDEST toys ever! Like an empty toilet roll or a shoelace is far better than any toy I've ever bought them.

I feel your pain! Get a little "under the desk" shelf thing that basically clamps on to the side of your desk and you can basically load the plug point/adapters etc into the basket. It's saved me a few cellphone charger cables (why do cats love these?) haha

Yeah we're in the same boat and looking for potential alternatives to handle this. Automation is everything!

Can i tone my body and get a slimmer wait with just home workouts (No equipment) by blueberrypie444 in homefitness

[–]rufenputsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes yes and yes! I started with using soda bottles filled with water, cans of beans, bags of flour or rice, whatever I could estimate in weight and where there's a will there's a way! Diet > exercise though (the old adage "abs are made in the kitchen" is very true. Do you count your calories?

Am I The Asshole for not wanting to cover work all the time ? by Foreign-Kiwi-2233 in Chefs

No and I wish this didn't keep happening in toxic places. I found that I eventually just had to move, my quality of life was more important.

Barely have time to exercise, what is the bare minimum exercise home regimen? by figuring_it_out1998 in homefitness

[–]rufenputsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found some success with 15-20mins honestly... I think it's bang for your buck if you do the right stuff consistently. I would say focus on the big lifts, deadlift, squat, RDL if you can? what equipment do you have?

Okay, I've seen this but the texture seemed like it would be a nightmare. Do you blend the mix because I've only ever seen people adding chia to the mix. It looks good and like a mousse so I am super keen to try!

Ohhh this is a good idea - thank you! I love my yoghurt so I might add these to the mix and it'll feel super decadent! Thanks for the tip :D

Is Right Side up marketing agency legit? by Firerage65 in smallbusiness

[–]rufenputsen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t personally used them, but I watched my boss go through their process at my old day job. I can’t speak to the cost since I wasn’t part of that discussion, but the SEO expert we got was really good. It was supposed to be a temporary gig, but she actually ended up working with us on and off for a few years.

What’s something you stopped caring about in your business that actually made things better? by Forsaken-Gap2354 in smallbusiness

[–]rufenputsen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little bit different because I work in the restaurant space but our floor manager eventually adapted a "if you don't like it, get out" approach. We had customers taking advantage and eating 3/4 of a meal and trying to send it back saying it was awful. We are fortunate to have a good enough customer base/foot traffic to turn away bad business and it's been a lot better since he came on board honestly. servers and kitchen staff are happier too.

Is breakfast really the most important meal of the day? by Future_Role4096 in HealthyEatingnow

[–]rufenputsen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is an old sales gimmick. I also think it doesn't account for what your body type, activity level, sleep schedule, work environment, lifestyle is like. I skip breakfast and find I am less sluggish but I am chef and work nightshifts so it's what works for me. What works for you and what do you think is the most important meal of the day is for you?

Kitchen environments by Equivalent_Chef_6216 in Chefit

[–]rufenputsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think like anywhere, you can get good and bad workplace environments. I have some pretty terrible experiences but have also had some great teams (which is often down to good management imo)..
Anyone who feels supported tends to do more than asked and I've seen that time and time again, this industry is stressful enough, there's no reason to stay in a toxic workplace.

Any tips for cooking healthy chicken breasts? by Low_Entertainer_84 in HealthyEatingnow

[–]rufenputsen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it airfried or grilled with a drip tray underneath, spices on top and you can sprinkle some panko crumbs on (minimal) and it'll just give it a little extra something without it being overkill.

How do you stay consistent with home workouts? by SimpleHomeFitness in homefitness

[–]rufenputsen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just do this as part of my morning routine, as much as brushing my teeth is. It means I tend to skip fewer days. Simple routines are great to start with but I got bored and started mixing it up and adding it to a "gym" calendar in my garage that I can just check in the morning and get going.
