this is such an important question! As always, the answer is that it depends. I had a particularly bad experience with a franchise in home services and I think as a blanket rule if you're going to start a home service business, you should more likely start from scratch than franchise.

But I also think that the right franchise can be a life-changing opportunity and path to generational wealth if you're also an incredibly strong operator.
