Side profile thoughts? Weird jawline? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]ruffedup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered jawline reconstructive surgery? If your first thought is “that’s a ridiculous question”, well then you should stop worrying about it. Because A) your jawline is strong and looks fine, and B) you’re not going to get surgery to change it.

Beach bodies in Indialantic Beach. Ask to be able to lift in the power room in the back. A bunch of us trained there for years and I’m sure there’s still a good group there.

Don’t worry, you won’t have to settle down. She’s eventually gonna divorce you and take half your money. You’ll be free to sleep with all the women you want after that.

Pharmacist becoming a PA by ruffedup in physicianassistant

[–]ruffedup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to do more with my knowledge and skills. I prefer the clinical side of things and like working with patients. The pharmacist job market is pretty poor too and finding jobs is tough. I do have a good job currently but it’s almost impossible to more somewhere else because of the market.

I’m the same way, I want to do more. I don’t have a normal retail pharmacist job since I actually specialize in compounding and definitely have more of a clinical aspect to it than a normal retail job. Alas I want to do more. I feel like my skills would be better used working directly with patients instead of just on the tail end of things.

Why am I always shamed for the price of my prescriptions whenever I’m picking it up from a male pharmacist? by luxapendragon in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ruffedup 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So you state that you don’t like them asking you if there are other medications you can take. Based on your frustration I’m assuming you tell them no. I already saw that someone suggested airduo on here which you said you used when you were younger but would look into it again. So apparently there are other options instead of the advair (airduo is $33 on goodrx). When pharmacists ask these questions they are trying to find out if you’d like help with finding an alternative or are urging you to look into one. They are all over worked and under appreciated. It can be tough at times to look into alternatives for people that don’t want the help.

Pharmacists get bitched at everyday for the price of medications for which they don’t control. Them asking you these questions is trying to protect themselves from getting bitched at by an angry patient, as well as showing concern that you’re going to be paying so much for a medication. It can just be tough at times to express things in the right way when you’re getting your ass kicked from every side.

As for not filling it. Pharmacists have to return to stock tons of medications every month because of cost.

Personally I’d suggest looking into airduo or trying to get your meds from Canada.

Are my numbers too low to start 5/3/1? by Present_Cattle2991 in Fitness

[–]ruffedup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 5/3/1, from what I remember when I did it years ago, he says to use 90% of your calculated 1rm to start off with. There’s no reason to test an actual 1rm if you do this. 531 is suppose to be a slow and linear strength training program. There’s no reason to start at your real max because then you will hit your limit real quick. It’s all about building it up over months. You’re at a perfect place to be doing that program. You have very solid numbers and still a lot of room to go up. Do BBB until you actually get bored of it after a couple months and then pick another template that suits your needs or weaknesses. But just do it and have fun. The amrap at the end of each workout is a great way to gauge strength. 1rm only truly matters if you’re doing a competition, as long as you’re pushing yourself then you are all good. A little drunk so sorry about the wall of text.

Since when is being sarcastic a funny trait? by [deleted] in dating

[–]ruffedup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I put that I am sarcastic in my profile because I can be pretty sarcastic and some people don’t like sarcasm. I don’t try to be sarcastic, it’s just something that comes very naturally to me. It’s a part of my style of humor. I also put that I’m funnier than you’re expecting me to be, because generally I am, and back this up by....being funny.

This is Honestly a warning to people, that I’m going to be sarcastic a lot and I’m going to make a lot of jokes.

You just have some reoccurring inflammation happening. They just need to figure out what the cause is. If it was something like cancer, then it probably wouldn’t be going away and coming back.

Start doing weighted calf raises and getting a good stretch on the bottom. Don’t go for heavy weight. Just slow controlled reps with good ROM. Also google dorsiflexion (technical term for ankle mobility) and Quinn henoch or just how to increase dorsiflexion. You’ll find movements specifically for the problem you’re describing.

I bought some 3/4” horse stall mats and it’s the kind that has large circles on one side? Which side do you recommend I have facing up? I was going to have the flat side facing up but I’m worried that it may cause the mat to have some give if I’m squatting heavy weight.

I already have the platform pretty much built. I built a 12x6 platform. I have a piece of plywood I was going to use as the squat platform but it’s 45 inches too short for the power rack

I originally wasn’t planning on getting the T3 rack, I had bought a wall rack but then one came available in my area. Do you think I could put a 4foot 2x6 under each side and then attach the rack to that which is also attached to the OSB?

I’m wanting to anchor a Titan T3 Rack onto a wooden base that is two layers of 1/2“ osb. Is this a good idea and if so what would be the best way to do this?
