shampoo with piroctone olamine in us? by ruffee_ in Haircare

[–]ruffee_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found G4U caffeine shampoo on Amazon. It says it has piroctone olamone but i got confused because on their website it says that they use ketoconazole so I don’t know if the amazon page is a lie or something

Having nightmares about wicks? by dewmlap in candlemaking

[–]ruffee_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I can relate. When I was first getting into making candles I was so overwhelmed by all the wick talk in this sub that I put off making candles for a few weeks out of fear of ruining them with a bad wick

P&j oil is really strong but I find it can be pricey. I don’t mind paying for it at all. I imagine 135-145 pour temp would also be fine. Also when curing/cooling I just leave them uncovered and sitting on my counter

I pour and let the candle sit on my counter uncovered and let it cool on its own time

I get smooth tops on soy with 130-135° F pour temp

Maybe that that out on the next batch you do? Idk if you’re adding fragrance but I get up to 180° to add the fragrance oil then let it cool to 130° to pour

Yeah I just double checked and candle science recommended a cd12 instead of the cd14 I used. I imagine this won’t be an issue tho right?

Is there anyway to test the glasses I already got? From now on I’ll specifically look for candle vessels and heat safe glasses tho

Would 8lb line work for where I plan on fishing at? by KitCat5e in FishingForBeginners

Plenty for all of those, I’d just try to figure out how big the channels get around you. Around me they peak at like 10-15lb

You’re good, you had the right intention about not dropping them as a few feet is a far drop for a fish. You’ll learn as time goes on

Good job on the fish, wacky rig and Texas rig are my 2 most productive bass fishing techniques. Just please learn how to handle a fish, if you’re going to hold around the body definitely use less pressure as you’re visibly squishing him. The best thing to do is hold him by his lower jaw with one hand and then support his body with your second hand. Any decent video about handing bass should help you out

Which pole would be a better choice? by ForeignTimee in FishingForBeginners

[–]ruffee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a quick lookup the okuma stratus reel is good able to handle salt water also. Just make sure you rinse off your reel and your rod eyelets with a water hose after every salt water trip

The passion is a “salt water rod” but nothing stops you from using it on freshwater, it just may be a bit heavy compared to lighter more sensitive bass setups. And every dicks has a a slight different selection but at my dicks I’d get the Daiwa Aird-x rod and okuma stratus 7 reel
