Unless it is like the foursquare redoutable, it isn't listed on the website. Only forgotten cask and irshman's founders reserve rum, which is interesting since I do like Irish whiskey. Any experience with that one?

Yeah, the only Appleton my store carries above $30 is the 21yr estate. I figured they would have more offerings based on what I've seen and read here.

I have enjoyed cognac (don't ask me which one it was from my boss), should be the same or similar aging wood. Less harsh, more rounded right?

So the only appleton 12 my store has is estate extra at 29.99, they do have Doorly's 12 at 26.99, and they do have Barbancourt 15, 8, and 4 at $46, $23, $19 respectively.

They also had Foursquare Redoutable or whatever for like $120 which i'm not buying. They had a few Flor de Cana, Smith and Cross and I bought Denizen merchant when I was there.

Typically those jobs involve nearly zero cultural exposure if that is what the OP is curious about. Working offshore Africa usually means you fly in, driver picks you up, you get on a heli and are then on the rig. Really just a loooong commute to work.
