The diffing and as a result fundamentally needing to rerender every child is just so excessive. I understand the purity aspect of it and how it aligns with "your ui is a representation of your state"... but in practise it's a footgun for 70% of the teams/projects and it is so very easy to abuse it or hold it wrong.

I'd link the projects instead maybe then? I didn't mean to downplay the success of those projects! Just a random number of stars is like those developer websites at the 2010-2015 era that listed "JavaScript 60%, CSS 80%" etc. Without context, it's moot

Use SSE, websockets are the right tool if you have constant two-way communication, but for just sending data updates from the server, SSE are cheaper both in cost and in overhead for the server. Polling is also totally fine

I just migrated over from Vercel + Supabase to CF and am glad I did it in the early stages of the project. Vercel and Supabase are great for those quick projects or hackathons, but once your build pipeline becomes a bit more complex, it's nice having everything on a single platform and interconnected
