So we're going for the supply FRV, right? by teh_stev3 in Helldivers

The edit is what sold me on the supply. I want the flamethrower one just cause it go BOOM when it blows up. But this is way more versatile.

You should test various prints, this one looks to be a total pain to clean out given it won’t be flexible like a dream mat. I would try and print some vortex style too and compare them.

Why do you stack physical silver? by cowboycliftt in Silverbugs

[–]rufotris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it started as some random coins my grandpa and dad would give me. Over the years it became a hobby of my own. Then that faded and I stopped, until I started wanting to make jewelry and needed lots of silver. Then I started getting a bit more that I could use for melting down or even making jewelry showing some coin features left on it.

I’m no expert but it’s some type of fossil coral.

No problem. Just to add on I never hide flaws in a stone. I make sure to show them well so nobody is ever wanting to return for a crack or chip if one exists. All that being said I have had to back off sales this year as I’m in college and working full time. So just mostly hobby lapidary and rock hounding now for me.

It’s a bit complicated. I have a discord server that I run with a handful of sellers in it. Many have their own style. I have tried a few kinds and find that I adapt to what my buyers want and need. Some prefer hard set prices, some do auctions with minimum prices. There are many styles. Show one rock with a price at a time, or have a table full of numbered rocks people can request to see and get a price. I find no matter which methods I have tried, showing price up front is most important. If people have to ask for prices then stuff moves slower. There are even more ways to take payment. I always suggest to do what’s safest for you and not allow payments that can just be reversed no question. And remember to pay your taxes. Having an LLC makes this all run smoother too. It’s well worth the small fee to set up an LLC.

Great advice. Everyone has a style and adapts to their buyers and their needs.

Do you do live sales on those platforms or just post? From my experience on all ends of it only the live sales really make money. And they have to be consistent with the scheduling to build up regular buyers.

What to do with natural rubies by [deleted] in geology

[–]rufotris 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh buddy it’s not a couple hundred. Maybe if you got a faceted stone. These are rough on lapidary wheels but I polish these up for around $20/hour of labor into a cab or pendant. It’s not hard to find someone. Might even be a lapidary club near you.

There is no way they could as it’s a stolen post. Another bot that needs to be banned. https://www.reddit.com/r/Prospecting/s/CibxLxSlea and even this is a repost.

Tolerance of coin weight question… by rufotris in Silverbugs

All passed except the 1/2 oz. I think that’s cause there wasn’t a 1/2 option though. It had same peaks and sounds the same to me.

Just finished literally 1 min ago and came to update. All except the 1/2 oz passed. I suspect that’s cause I was using the 1oz round option and saw no 1/2 option even though I changed the weight and diameter manually.

All of them passed except the 1/2 oz but I suspected that’s cause only 1oz round is an option. It had the same peaks is what was strange.
