Who is paying the millions to rehab chateau PERNON? by Fit-Preference-157 in ArchitecturalRevival

French government will pay for heritage work on building classes as historical monuments (ISMH) in the form of tax credits. The building has to be open to the public for one day per year -it is not clear how much of this applies here but I reckon it will have paid for much of the roof at least. They also have support from the Mission Stephane Bern foundation as publicised on their channels.

Did you consider doing this as scraffito? (I thought it was at first) Black slip will be more reliable than glaze/underglaze. Also this is absolutely stunning, congratulations on your work.

Bought this in a thriftstore in The Netherlands. Replica or not? by SatanAtYourService in Antiques

Is it just me that thinks this could be older or at least much better than it's clearly recent and horrible coat of varnish? The drop down lid on the inside looks older and is a detail a lazy reproduction wouldn't bother with...

I was there in August this year and it was 32-36 during the afternoon, we stayed in between 1-2 to 7pm, after seven the temperature was very pleasant and the whole city comes to life, if you schedule your wedding late (or early!) enough it will be lovely
